This is how bad Canada is

Canadas GDP is 2.14 trillion

Canada needs 6 million new homes by 2030 to restore affordability

This means an investment of 3.6 trillion which is 168 percent of Canada’s GDP

Toronto has a budget deficit of 1.5 bln

Immigration of 1.2 million per year (highest in the world)

Avg rent in Canada is $2078 (increasing 8.9% annually)

Lost 72k construction workers this year

Will need 300k over the next 10 years

I swear.. tradies are about to make bank

When the 40 to 50 year Olds retire now there's gonna be nobody in the trades

Then they're gonna charge a fuk ton

The ibew is already thinking about changing to a 4 year system from a 5 year system, because they need more journeymen

What should a society do when the gov has not only failed but actively sabotages its people with a slow boil, frog in pot tactic

Whats crazy to I hear canadians openly talk about how everyone is leaving. Read how at top schools in Canada all the grads are actively pursuing American opportunities. That's scary
It’s a legit scary and daunting situation here and the numbers back it up.

Don’t blame anyone for wanting to leave.

Enlighten me and argue how the numbers presented don’t paint a very dire situation and future for Canada.

I have seen most of the cities in Canada on YouTube, they look fine and clean, building and houses look ok too, wide roads, no traffic, but there are hardly any people on it except for cars..I mean this is the trend in all videos....and I can see all the utilities are distant apart from each other...as if it's not suitable to do everything by public transport or walking....Canada definitely needs to fill up people....and that applies to every city in Canada...

You Tube? ok.

Pretty sure the major cities don't need to fill up. The opposite if anything.

Where is Canada getting 3.6 trillion to provide affordable housing to these people?

What developers are incentivized to build when 30 percent of the costs goes to the government before shovels are in the ground who can’t ever give up this revenue stream because they are so indebted.

Top talent in Canada always went to the US. You get paid more and pay less tax. Even hockey players.

I mean I watch videos from decent channels, and I can imagine roads and streets being deserted when it's extremely cold in winters? At least for most part of the day....

I’m hoping most of the immigrants coming in will leave once they figure out they were sold a lie

I also see a scenario where the good ones leave and we get stuck with the **** tier ones who leech off the system

It's bigger than Trudeau. The people pushing this stuff ("The Bankers"/corporations/mega rich) control the Right and the Left. And they want more consumers/GDP to go up at all costs.

You think this 'Conservative' guy is going to save you?

Canada's immigration system is broken, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre charged Tuesday, as he sidestepped questions about whether he would change current targets.

Poilievre slams the Liberal target as driven by Trudeau's "ideology," buthe did not answer repeated questions about whether he would consider reducing the number.

He says a Conservative government would base its immigration policy on the needs of private-sector employers

PPC and Bloc are the only ones that advocate for less immigration but the PPC has been branded as the racist far right party and the Bloc is limited in their influence plus only care about QC
