Is dirt driveway a euphemism?
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

If you don't have genuine hand crafted cobblestone driveways with rod iron and brass gates then you haven't made it.

Im sure that's what everyone thinks when they drive by, let alone actually drive up to your house. Maybe sprinkle some gravel on there or something. I dunno, Im not very familiar with this plebian stuff.

It's in a bum-free zone.

One section has about a 70' elevation change over a distance of 500'.

I've been doing some fine tuning on it this week with a dozer, mostly adding some camber to the curves. It's so steep I had to carve in some switchbacks to lessen the incline.

Anyone who has hand raked rocks out of loose dirt knows what I'm talking about. It's a good ab workout, but apparently will kill you in the heat.

When I came inside my face looked sunburned it was so red. Even some of the Native Americans around here were like, damn.

It's back to a normal European color now.

My main driveway is about 1/4 mile long, so I'd have to sell a kidney to Kormo if I wanted to pave it.

The cheapest option would probably be gravel grids. Bonded gravel is nicer, but it's also a lot more expensive.

Bonded would probably be the best part of 100k, but grids + the gravel 10-20k.

I have it graded/drained nice enough for just a layer raw gravel/base to hold, but I don't mind the dirt since it has lots of rock in it already (iron ore).

I would actually classify myself rich, but filthy.

And the last time I checked your mom didn't have a penis. Admittedly I didn't check that close, tho, because of the smell.

Cool.

If you did need grids, they are only a couple of bucks per square meter, so if you went for 1600 m^2 (4m wide), the grids wouldn't add much more in materials beyond the gravel itself.

Hardly anyone ever sees my driveway unless they're lost, since I live at the end of a county road.

I also have a gate by the road to keep out the riff raff.
