A great personality can make up for quite a bit in the looks department.

If she's a 10/10 personality, I'd take her if her looks were a 6 and there was nothing offensive about her.

Is this about marriage? I don't want to be married.

At any rate, I'm not really sure but a legit GOOD personality (and intelligence is a HUGE plus as well - ones that can actually have interesting conversations and chit) and can compensate significantly for mediocre/subpar looks.

This, but she could even be a 5 if she had a great sex drive and was fantastic in bed.

I tell guys all the time, looks are just one part of the equation. A 6/10 who bangs like a porn star and loves sex is far better than an 8/10 that is a starfish.

This 100%. When looking for a LTR, I always looked at looks as a pass/fail test and then ranked women based on personality/compatibility within those that passed the pass/fail test (and 5 is probably a good threshold), so that I'd much rather be with a 6/10 with a great personality that a super hot 9/10 vapid insta-thot. Relationships are far better when you actually enjoy being with the other person. LOL.

Like for a relationship/marriage? Looks are almost meaningless. I just care about her being attractive enough to me and healthy. 100 times/100 I would take the 5/10 with 10/10 personality over a 10/10 with a chit personality. looks fade.

My values are different than yours so I can't say I agree. I'm never looking to bang a hotter girl than the one I have because I am just focused on her.

Yeah, if I actually enjoy being with her, the sex is good, and we've decided to be in a committed relationship, I can refrain from looking around just because other women are physically hotter. I've been happily married for 25 years and counting, so it worked that way for me. If I were in a position where I was only looking for casual relationships and nothing serious, then looks would be a bigger determinant because the relationship itself is more disposable if I really can't stand the person.

Exactly. Truly I have a pretty wide range of attraction in terms of physical. It's always the personality that would allow myself to go that low though. I have standards.

That's why it wouldn't be below 5/10 though. under that it starts to get hard to actually find them attractive sexually.

All of these. 5/10 with 10/10 personality and I'm good. Agree with Jay's statement on looks being pass/fail. I just need to be attracted, and I have a wide range that I can be attracted to. I'll add though that I do need her to stay in decent shape. I don't need competitive athlete shape, just normal weight range and physically able to do active things. You could argue that makes them not a 5/10 in today's world, and that's a fair argument. I guess when I say 5/10 I'm talking with respect to genetics.

Once you find the one you stop looking, don't fantasize about others, and avoid situations where you could be tempted.
