Do people that work M-F really only get 1 day off per week?

With that said -- is it true that people who work really only get 1 day off per week? I mean Friday is a work day and it's 6-7:30 pm before people get in, get showered and get out to eat or something. By that time Friday is toast.

Saturday....now Saturday is where they are Kings of the jungle...free to roam.

But of course if you had a long week at work and you were jazzed up for Friday...perhaps Saturday is a day you want to be lazy and rest.

And finally, we all know Sunday is a day of dread starting around 3pm.

be real...what percent of people you think enjoy their job...even sorta? from what i see 99% trudge through the week saying they can't wait until friday

I can imagine it's pretty low. I'm an engineer and still have rough weeks due to project based deadlines but in general as long as I'm learning and progressing I'm happy.

Some people are happy just doing the same repetitive thing day in and day out (Shelf stacking, pallet loading, fork lift driving, chef) - That would be hell for me and I'd go insane.

Got to find what works for you, which is easier said than done though.

I've had 4 jobs the past 3 years (all engineering) but finally found something that works for me.

I worked from home all week

and then next week I'm being paid to attend a conference in Newport Beach that's taking place on the boardwalk with free food and drinks for 4 days

lol at typical 9-5 jobs where you clock in and clock out

perhaps it should alternate between 3 and 4 day work week. one week you work 3 days...the next week 4 days. at least this way people could sorta own half their life.

I actually would but I'd work fewer days. Probably ideally 3 days per week.

It's very social, it keeps my mind sharp and I get a lot of satisfaction from machines I design.

FYI - A lot of engineering companies including mine have half day Fridays which makes a HUGE difference.

I have two days of no work this week (self employed) and am bored.

would gladly take a steady 6 days per week, with obvious vacations for a week or two here & there.

I have a very, very chill life tho.

Realistically I work 7 days a week. Mon-Friday @ my W2 job, saturday on my own business and sunday doing chores/ house-vehicle maint. ect
