I've worked many different jobs, the Food service Industry is by far the hardest.

I've done the following;

-Subway
-Yogurtland
-Security
-Landscaping
-Construction
-Marketing Concierge

Front of the house food industry is by far the most physically/Mentally draining job I've ever worked. Serving multiple tables at a time, taking orders, delivering food/drinks, providing excellent guest experience is not easy. The money is great having the potential to break six figures of I want to but it's just mentally draining. I can see why most people working in this industry are alcoholics.

I did it some in my younger years, and it certainly did suck. Of all the chit jobs I had, loader at UPS was probably the worst though.

glad i went into retail/clothing when i was young, it gets pretty bad sometimes but probably not as worse with food

Worked in a supermarket as my first job for a few years, anything customer facing in a low end position like that is fkn brutal, fast food and supermarket workers get it right in the neck. I worked in basically a mini high street super market but we would have a minimum of at least 5 customers in the shop at all times. Everyone that came in were locals from the expensive village and come in fairly often. They were all kunts. Treated you like a piece of chit.

The worst job I ever had was installing aftermarket equipment in cars, security cameras, reversing sensors, blackboxes etc. long hours, everything was traffic dependent, worked outside in all conditions, chit pay, up and down the country, waking up at the crack of dawn to drive 3 hours away for your first job of the day then the person isn’t even home or awake and you’re waiting around. Had a contract with them installing security devices in a fleet of trucks so would stay away for a couple of weeks at a time as well. Fuk I fkn hated working there with a passion, I lasted about 4 months and called it a day, didn’t even have another job lined up, just left. Fuk that.

No way you had a real job working construction or landscaping if you think food service is harder I’ve done all 3 and food service is way easier than actual labor jobs.

I found corporate law and tax advisory pretty tough, the rules were always changing and it was hard to keep up sometimes

It was also a lot of pressure because big amounts of money involved and tight deadlines

But I’m sure waiting tables is more difficult

Landscaping is not hard at all and I was a painter.

Working at Denny's is not hard bud, I meant nice, upscale, fancy restaurants.

Guy spent to much time watching the bear now he thinks food service is like going to war. Brah I worked in food service for years it’s nothing compared to busting your ass with a bunch of third world immigrants and ex cons on a job site in the blazing heat.

Haven't done food service but I'd still say construction is worse which I have done

I worked in a kitchen for two years on weekends in high school and when that rush comes is brutal.



But these days I work in construction project management building motorways and the site team working out in all weathers, snow, ice, the scorching heat of summer, that job is a struggle.

i understand the sentiment... sites can be big and there's a diverse group of people with all the different trades


but how many convicts do you think can pass the aptitude test to get into the union?
then the interview?

then go to class every single week for 6 hours
do all the hw while working 40+ hours a week

pass dc theory while dealing with hard work?

ac theory?

going to school for 5 years maintaining an 80 with only 2 absences a semester?

now im not saying that's impossible but i don't think the stereotype you're using would be up for that

that's an ibew electrical apprenticeship btw

UPS was the hardest job I worked, Wendy's was the ****tiest job I ever worked, lasted like two weeks.
