Dictator Biden to raise fuel prices and taxes, illegally
Trump opened up oil leases in Alaska through legislative processes in 2017. Now Biden is going to shut them down, and also plans to raise taxes on oil and gas, without legislation.

Socialists always talk about how evil capitalism is because the capitalist does everything in self interest, but socialists are far worse, because they use the force of the government for their self interest.

Biden again reiterated that there are 9,000 unused oil drilling permits on federal lands.
At the end of 2021, there were 9,173 approved applications for drilling permits on federal and tribal lands, according to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
Only about 10% of domestic oil and gas drilling occurs on federal land. The rest happens on private and state property.

In the congressional hearings, we learned that the Biden admin is slow walking a ton of lease renewals. in other words, the companies can’t drill where they want to because the Biden regime won’t let them. So your post in dishonest and inaccurate.
There are other factors too associated with things like costs and locations (Biden halted a pipeline that woud have tremendously lowered the cost of shipment of the oil). The leases Biden is slow walking are the most productive and easiest to access, with some if the lowest cost to ship. They use the profits from those to extract and produce from the other locations, but due to the taxes, lack of cost efficient movement of the oil, as well as other obstacles, they don’t drop at 100% of their land 100% of the time.
For example, why would they start at a new location, spend a bunch of money and resources for start up, only to have Biden stop those leases too?
Stop thinking so one dimensional and perhaps you can find answers to questions that you don’t ask.

People that don’t care about the economy and what happens to the country shouldn’t be voting. This is why we have voting standards, and becoming “more democratic” is nothing more than a “F*** you” to the country.

You remind me of sheltered, white people who become victim of a crime for the first time in their life, and go, "Why did this happen to MEEEEEEEE, I thought I lived in a good neighborhood, so....... officer, what happens now, is there gonna be an investigation?"
We then try not to laugh, and go, "Sure, the detectives will be riiiiiight on it......" Then we type the report up, and go to lunch.

One of the Trump administration's biggest environmental rollbacks suffered a stunning setback Wednesday, as a decades-long push to drill for oil in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge ended with a lease sale that attracted just three bidders — one of which was the state of Alaska itself.
Alaska's state-owned economic development corporation was the only bidder on nine of the parcels offered for lease in the northernmost swath of the refuge, known as the coastal plain. Two small companies also each picked up a single parcel.
Half of the offered leases drew no bids at all.

You guys do know that the US is producing record amounts of oil in 2023, right? Not "record under Biden", but record overall. 12.7M bpd. And expected to increase next year.

Biden was forced to reverse some of his policies, and go back on some of his promises. If you look at the data, you will see that it had been going up, and then it spiked under Trump. Fracking was introduced and allowed more efficient extracting, leading to the low gas prices. When Biden was elected, it dropped below what it was when Trump was first elected. It took 3 years to recover from Biden causing production to crash.
In other words, we would be producing millions more had Biden not caused the crash and heavily regulated the industry. We are barely producing any more than when Trump was president. Thankfully Biden allowed fracking to continue, but I think he knew he had to. It’s heavily regulated now though, which is another reason gas prices are up and won’t ever come down. They just keep regulating it more and more, taxing more and more, so prices are now permanently high until we get a president that will reverse all of Biden’s damage.
So yeah, “record” numbers, but no higher than Trump. We should be at at least 15m or more by now.

US oil output is now projected to rise to an average of 12.8 million barrels per day this year for the first time ever, according to federal estimates released Tuesday.

The looming milestone undercuts the argument made by some 2024 GOP presidential contenders that the Biden administration is strangling the oil industry with red tape.
“There’s a narrative out there that US production is dead or dying,” said Hunter Kornfeind, oil market analyst at Rapidan Energy Group. But while its speed is slower than it used to be, it’s “maturing, it’s not dead,” he said.
If anything, the outlook for US oil production has brightened recently – in large part because oil prices have rebounded from recession fears and drillers have become more efficient.
