It's a cultural thing. There just isn't much emphasis on doing things in groups there, so naturally people have fewer friends. This is why they have a good economy and lots of innovation, because people spend less time socializing and networking.

As a guy traveling solo, I had a really good time in Japan because it was the first place I had travelled on that trip where the entire society is set up for doing things by yourself.

That makes no sense to me

I do things alone majority of the time. And the times I get girls majority of the time is when I’m alone.

Sounds like the guys never mastered the game of cold approach. Tbh if I see a girl drinking at the bar alone…I’m definitely going to talk to her…if theres a group of friends, I’m going to talk to them

You can still pull alone there too. But most people aren't just going to walk up to random people and start chatting. Japan is very honor based, so it looks desperate to be out there talking to a million people.

Not even 50 years dude, the West minus non-White immigrants is in virtually the same demographic position as Japan TODAY.

That's why I'm confused why people are pathologizing Japanese men like this problem is unique to Japan or Japanese culture.

Only difference is Japan doesn't have a bunch of non-White immigrants to boost the overall stats:

In western countries it is too expensive to raise children. Also the response to covid has demonstrated that children are actually not that important in terms of gov't policy.

Based. I think it's also called "casual/ignored" in western circles. One of my favorites is when they are investigating some crime scene and random guys keep smashing the detective lady and the woman of the house, then proceed to smash her daughter as they're talking and walking through the house, etc. The timestop ones have been around since the 90s and many were even drawn as hentai doujinshi manga.
