Video stores to go rent movies and games?

I always thought that was half the fun of it on a date going to the video store and walking through the store and reading the back of the boxes to see what the movie was about.

Less technology the better. Life was a lot more magical then. Less fapping options but the search was fun too.

I don't mind steaming but as an audio/video nerd with a nice home theater setup I still like Blu ray disc's and wish I could go to the video store and rent them still. Now more than ever tbh.

But I would imagine if video stores did still exist they'd be Hella retarded and probably subject to some overly expensive subscription membership plan instead of just good old two for Tuesday, rent one get one free

Life was better when we had to go to the video store, but going to the video store was hit or miss. Sometimes they wouldn't have really anything you would want to watch. New movie comes out, they have like 40-50 copies of it on the wall, and all of them are checked out. what the ****

Remember when you could just have two vcrs hooked up and could record your own copies of whatever you rented.

I miss back in the day renting movies and video games at the grocery store. Every Friday we'd get some movies and games for the weekend. It was something to look forward to during the week. Also, Netflix sucks if you want to watch older movies, especially the sequels.

Streaming is way better. Video stores were out of what you wanted to watch most of the time

I never like the thought of not having physical media. I miss seeing video rental stores, although back in the day I didn't rent that much. I had satellite and recorded most of what I had on VHS.

The one good thing with online is finding the rare movies and tv series that you'd never find on the shelves of video stores.

Streaming for sure. No late fees.

At blockbuster those fees add up whenever you forget to return a video on time.

Yeah Netflix at least hasn't been great. They have a huge selection but only a small handful of movies I'd want to watch at any given time. Guaranteed if Blockbuster or Hollywood Video were still around I could walk in and find a couple movies I'd want to rent
