Does anyone still buy physical games anymore?
I still do and my question is WHY are these games that cost $70 always have the disc rocking around in the game case?
You telling me for $70 a pop they can’t source a more stable disc holder? I start noticing this either early this gen or late last gen that every game comes like this now.
Btw I just purchased GTA 5 and Resident Evil 4 both PS5 edition. Haven’t touched my ps5 in months so decidee i’ll dust it off and wanted something relaxed/casual fun (gta) and somewhat of a “new” experience with RE4 although i played it years back on PS2.

Too easy to lose, scratch, & just clutter up when buying physical copies. I like the idea of owning the physical, but it’s like CD’s or tapes if you’re old enough to remember, just ends up being more of a headache, except with music, I could understand as digital is more compressed & does not sound nearly as good.

I sometimes buy physical and never had the disc loose in the case. You're either buying bootleg or you're too retarded to push the disc properly into the holder.

No, I do like to give the cases a little shake when I walk past them though. Especially the Playstation ones.

Always buy digital crew. I still have Half Life 2 on my Steam account from when I got it in 2004 when I was like 11.
For things like the Switch I think digital makes the most sense too. The console is designed to be portable. Imagine lugging around some games you wanna play in 2023, just lol. With a memory card you have all the games on the console itself. Even if I am 1000 miles away from home, I have my entire library with me. No getting up and swapping cartridges when you want to play something, just pick one in the menu and you're good to go.
I have never resold games so that doesn't apply to me.

I still get them, have a huge collection over the years
I've almost kept everything since I started in the late 90s and it's all stored in boxes
lately I've been thinking to only keep the 100-200 (?) games that hold a special place in my heart (nohomo) and sell the rest
but I absolutely despise resellers so at the end of the day I never do lol
to get back to you I have it occasionaly happen when I buy a used game online but can't say it's happened a lot
never on store bought though, but I only bought Xbox and Nintendo the last 15 years

Where would I put a disc in at? I don't think it will fit in the USB-C slot. Maybe if they started selling games on NVM chips instead of easily scratched discs that rot over time.

Anyways the only thing physical I buy is Blu ray disc's for the quality difference for my home theater. Nothing for gaming, **** if I'm bout to get up and change disc's when I wanna play a game. Legit defeats the purpose of having a couch gaming setup. Might as well go sit at my pc if I have to get up to switch games.
Does xbox/ps5 quick resume work with disc's? Genuinely have no idea

so in reality you install x amount of GB from the disk and an additional amount online for updates/patches/etc.

Physical games are good because you can resell it, You can resell digital games too but you gotta go through hoops to do it. Anyways its nice to be able to resell the physical games, the only downside now is that the damn game install into the system so if you were planning to save space by having the physical version you are SOL.
Either way I just bought the Digital ps5 version, can be bothered with disc anymore at this age.

I bought the physical disc edition PS5 because I didn't wanna limit myself, but i must admit that I do get annoyed having to switch out games, although it is a minor inconvenience.
But the bright side is that I can often find discounts on physical games that are still selling for full price on the digital market. Also I can use my PS5 to watch blu-ray movies that have better quality than streaming apps.

I really wish that when you got the physical copy it allowed you to download the digital also. Even if it were a bit more $, I’d be willing to pay a little extra for some games if that were the case.
