Yeah, Jones is one where you don't want to fall victim to the Week 1 overreaction. That game got out of hand too quickly and everything fell apart. Jones should still be what you drafted him for (as a "zero QB" late round starter...). I believe in Daboll.

Puca Nakua and Kyren Williams are definitely worth an add if you need help at RB or WR. I'm going to wait and see on Tutu Atwell, he seems more like a week 1 fluke. The Rams are a dumpster fire waiting to happen, and if they go into rebuild mode, Nacua and Williams are two of the guys they will feature even more.

I mean, he's the next guy up in the depth chart, I guess. Hill looked better than Gus in the preseason and has a role as the third down back that carried over from the end of last year, so I think I prefer him over Gus, but really, between them and Gordon and Lamar's rushing ability, I think it's more like a RBBC to avoid.

Thanks Tyreek for the week 1 win, although the guy I played had London so tbh woulda won anyway.

Picked up Musgrave to fill in at TE with Andrews out and im debating keeping him around to see if he can build some volume. My ****ing RB room sucks rn with Pierce and Akers.

Musgrave is worth holding for now. Watson is still out as of right now, and Watson, Doubs, and Reed are all battling annoying hamstring injuries to varying degrees (Reed was supposedly "cramps", but it sure didn't look like it...). With a new starter at QB and a lack of established vets in the WR room, there is an opening for Musgrave to seize a significant role in the offense. He has the raw talent to do it and was a 2nd round pick.

I would put the Bal guys at the bottom of the priority list for FA adds this week if you need someone, below Kyren Williams, Josh Kelley, Zach Moss, Gainwell, etc, but if you need someone and those guys aren't available in your league, then I guess there are a lot worse alternatives than Gus or Hill.

Long term, I also like Roschon and Tyjae Spears better than Gus/Hill as later-in-the-season stashes, but if you need someone to start this week, those guys are a little dicey.

Putting in a hefty bid for Kyren and going for the Cleveland D. It’s probably a bad idea going for any RB on the rams but we’ll see. Gotta sneak out a win or two before JT comes back so I can stay in the game. half of my team is banged up right now which isn’t helping. Jones, Meyers, Watson, Jeudy, Chark, and JT.

thanking Dallas D for my win.
Lamar was a huge bust week one, and if they are serious about him not running as much this year then perhaps I missed on QB

but my bright spot is Zay Flowers. Can comfortably promote him to lineup. Just not sure if he takes Miles Sanders spot in the flex or replaces Godwin

Zay Flowers is just filthy. He's not in the best landing spot for fantasy, but he's going to be a great WR for a long time. I don't know if he should start over Sanders or Godwin (they're all close for fantasy purposes, so I guess it would be a week-to-week matchup game...), but the one thing that is certain is that Flowers makes Bateman droppable.

I somehow still won in my money league, but Rodgers was my only QB

Do I just stream QB the rest of the year and play matchups? Here's what is available:

Stafford
Carr
Bryce Young
Mac Jones (assuming I stream he probably has the best week 2 matchup against Miami and he put up decent numbers week 1)
Howell
Purdy
Tannehill
Ridder
Baker
Jimmy G
Zach Wilson

I'm not sure about trading for a QB, but looking at that Jordan Love might be an option (owner has Lamar), DeSean Watson (owner has Hurts), or Russel Wilson (owner has Tua). One guy does have both Herbert and Lawrence, maybe I should try to get one of those off of him but I'd likely have to give up at least a WR likely DJ Moore.

Intersted to hear any thoughts/opinions

Don't worry about trading. They guys you can trade for aren't really any better than the guys you can just add. Maybe inquire about Herbert/Lawrence, but other than him, is Russell Wilson really significantly better than Carr? I'd try to pick up two out of Purdy, Carr, Howell, Mac, and Stafford (in that order) and just play the matchups between them each week. Streaming doesn't add a lot of value, either. Streaming is best for defenses where the matchup really makes a significant difference. For position players, there are a small handful of defenses to avoid, but otherwise, unless you have a top 5 QB, the difference between any of the remaining competent starters isn't worth chasing like that.

I'd maybe make a small offer for Watson or TLaw but not give DJ Moore. A lot of people holding 2 QBs will end up dropping one since it kills your upside. Maybe as soon as this week.

I'll second Purdy though as a good pickup for now. He's been very consistently startable even if he's likely never going to give you 30+.

I'd give the guy something cheap for Watson but i do mean cheap. Watson actually looked good in moments the other day. That was such a lousy game weather-wise. He might be the guy. But I'm not giving up a starter for someone's backup QB

in the meantime grab Purdy. Purdy just looks like he'll (at the very least) never be bad. He's so sharp and that offense hums along regardless of matchup.

Purdy is an obvious pickup. I don't know why people are poo-pooing his upside potential. He won't have the rushing yards, but he'll have games with 3 or 4 TDs in that offense with those weapons. In 6 pt TD leagues, Purdy has the potential to be a top 5-10 QB.

I have Purdy in a 1 QB dynasty league (i.e. with 30 man rosters, LOL) and picked up Darnold to back him up. Shanahan is the fantasy whisperer (i.e. the anti-Arthur Smith...). Mr. Irrelevant Purdy playing for Shanny is a rock solid fantasy starter. If they have to go to Mr. Megabust Darnold, he'll be a rock solid starter as well. Trust the Niners.

was able to pickup gainwell with #2 waiver

unfortunately that meant passing on Nacua

but i think gainwell was the top add. The eagles have a top 3 O-line on a high powered offense, and they said gainwell would be the #1 despite everyone and their mom ignoring those reports. But that was clearly the case week 1

i drafted Swift for depth so might as well have the combo.

I'm sitting in 1st place after Week 1. 20 points from the Jets D/Special Teams and then 40 from Tyreek.

Appreciate everyone's opinions and advice. Was hoping someone would drop one of their backups, but no luck (yet). Someone with higher waiver priority than me got Purdy, so I grabbed Carr and will be rolling him out week 2.

At least I was able to pull out a win week 1, and am projected to win week 2, starting 2-0 or even 1-1 with what I'm working with at QB isn't too bad. I did also grab Kyler and put him on my IR spot so maybe he'll be serviceable at some point later this season. Meanwhile I'll be working the waiver wire and potentially floating some trades out there. The Watson owner has CMC and I've got Elijah Mitchell so maybe he'd part with a backup QB for a good handcuff.

It's good you have Swift, too, because Gainwell is out for Thursday already, LOL. Swift was clearly ahead of Penny (hence, Penny scratched...) and Boston Scott will get a couple snaps, but he's really active on game days for special teams, so it should be the Swift show on Thursday.

Swift is going to be verrrrrrrry scary to trust on a thursday game especially since they'll activate penny.

i actually liked the idea of swift in that offense but it's too busy at the moment. i need to see it happen first. especially having him go on a thursday and potentially starting at 2 points for the whole weekend.

Yeah, I'm not really too high on any of the Eagles' RBs in general, but if you have to use one this week, Swift it is.

he's on my bench at the moment but i agree of the 3 eagles he's the one.

perhaps if aaron jones misses a couple practices or if it comes out he's sitting, i will go swift. but unfortunately i bet that news won't drop until after thursday.

btw, my lineup, i never posted it here with you guys. this team was top dog in the league last week.

QB Herbert
RB1 Mixon
RB2 Aaron Jones
WR1 Tyreek
WR2 CD Lamb
FLX (Khalil) Herbert
TE Dallas G

I would add Kelley over Kyren, although they are very close. Kelley was drafted in all but one of my leagues, so I ended up adding Kyren in a couple.

i actually liked the idea of swift in that offense but it's too busy at the moment. i need to see it happen first. especially having him go on a thursday and potentially starting at 2 points for the whole weekend.
Ive gotta go 1/3 between Swift, Akers, Kelly and im leaning swift rn.

With the Rams vs 49ers, im out on Akers. kelly could be an option if Eklers out but I gotta make that call earlier

We'll see what comes out today and tomorrow, but my intuition is that Ekeler is going to play.

Both starting tackles for Seattle are out this week. They signed fossil Jason Peters, but who knows what he can do with no offseason and 3 days practice at like age 73. Just an FYI that Geno will be under siege this week.
