I have a 12 and haven't updated the firmware. Phone still works decently well.

I choose to live cheap and invest rich. I'll invest in Apple, LULU, and all the other nonsense consoomers spend on to make themselves feel special, but I'll buy less chit overall. Maybe a few koality items, but nothing too crazy. Works like a charm.
