Mostert DNP (knee) today. Wilson still on IR, Achane inactive last week, it's Salvon Ahmed SZN?!? I suspect if Mostert is actually in danger of missing the game, they will try to ramp up Achane as quickly as possible.

Yahoo says Mostert DNP is maintenance related ..could be coach speak. If not I think I may drop Williams who I picked off the scrap heap yesterday for the Miami rookie..

Will see if he practices today

Long term, I'd definitely take Achane. He is a far more explosive player and they drafted him for a reason. I know he's small, but he ran inside with no issue in the SEC, which is almost like the NFL anyway, so I'm not as concerned about that. The issue is that he's a rookie and he's currently a little dinged up, too, so if you need immediate help, Kyren is probably the better play for the next couple weeks, but if Achane gets a chance to take over the Miami backfield in the second half of the season, he has a much higher upside perfect aligned for the fantasy playoffs.

Back to back DNPs for Dhop…could really use those 15 targets in my flex spot. Not dying to play Gabe or Lockett..

Mostert back at practice today, so it may have just been "injury prone veteran maintenance" yesterday. Just a reminder, though, how fragile Mostert is.

Ekeler DNP two days in a row. This is becoming a serious concern. Even if Ekeler suits up, Kelley is playable given his production with Ekeler in the lineup last week.

This is what happens when I homer too much,

My league plays 2 QB's. I have Kirk and Jalen so those will start.

I have to start Justin Jefferson and my only TE is Hock. I'm tempted to bench JJ as Slay will be all over him but dam, bench JJ.

But do I also start Addison?

Eagles D is banged up at LB and secondary but that front DL is a monster and Kirk is going to be running for his live.

You have to play JJ. There is no circumstance where I would bench a 100% healthy JJ. JJ > Slay (and all other corners). You're stuck starting JJ, Kirk, and Hock, but even in a less than favorable matchup, they're all still startable players, so it's really not that bad. I'd probably shy away from Addison as a Thurs road team, though.

JJ is not your worry. That’s probably cousins in prime time throwing red zone pics that kill JJs TD chances

Swing and a miss on the cousins call lol almost 29 points.

Damn swift, maybe the lions should’ve given him more run, those were some Madden numbers

There was a really fascinating chess match going on between Flores and Johnson last night. The Vikes started out blitzing the first six plays, and Hurts burned them with the first big play to Devonta, so they switched to that umbrella zone scheme that teams use against Mahomes with three rushers, a spy, and 7 men dropping back. That shut down Philly's pass game for a while, but when Johnson & Sirianni recognized it, they switched to a power run scheme instead and bulldozed over the Vikes with Swift. As soon as they started moving people into the box to stop him, they hit Devonta over the top again. Swift obviously looked great, and he will likely keep the RB1 position in the Philly backfield committee until he gets injured, but there won't be a game like this again unless some other team keeps 6 man boxes even after the Eagles start jamming it down their throat. He did blow some pass pro, though, so Gainwell will be more involved in 3rd downs at a minimum. That doesn't really seem to matter much for fantasy, as the Eagles rarely throw to their backs, so pass pro is more important that receiving skills for an Eagles third down back.

I hope you didn't overthink this. Slay gave it his best shot, but JJ just beat him repeatedly. There is no one who can cover that guy. The Jaire Alexander games are an anomaly. I expect him to roast Alexander at least once this season, too.

These are tough calls. I would have started Sanders over Swift, too. No one had any idea what the Philly backfield rotation was going to look like (or that the Vikings were going to scheme to force Philly to run all over them...), and Sanders is in a bell cow position, so his production should be OK, too.

Don't overthink or overanalyze these decisions individually. You're decisions are based on expected values, but there is too much variance in the outcomes to conclude that the decision was bad just because the result was. If you have a pattern of more "bad decisions" than good ones, then the results start to get some credibility and you might want to look at your decision process, but a one point sample size has zero credibility.

any thought to using David and Breece (one as the flex)? I love the detroit OL and i think david will be a starting guy all year even if Gibbs blows up. Breece you can't sit.

maybe I'm nuts to sit flowers i know he had 10 targets.

Harbs said this week he doesn't expect Flowers to have that kind of volume every week, but who knows? He's clearly the best WR on the team. Andrews is supposed to be back this week, too.

Out:
Jacobi
Diontae

Doubtful:
Ekeler
Wan'Dale

In:
Davante
Z. Moss
Freiermuth
Garappolo
Andrews
Waller
Jeudy
Kelce
Juju

Questionable:
Puca
Watson
A. Jones
D-Hop

Christian Watson is killing me. I put him in IR and signed Tutu Atwell last Sunday. Of course, Tutu blew up, and now I don't want to cut him to move Watson back to the active roster, and I'm definitely not playing him on a Q-tag but he's causing my roster to be frozen with him in IR, so I have to do something. I wish they had just ruled him out so I could leave him there and unfreeze my roster.

Ppr flex spot Dalvin Cook or Renfrow? Feel like Cook won’t do a lot unless the game is out of reach and Breece is sat despite being on a pitch count.

Feels groce but I'd go Renfrow here. No Jakobi and they should have to throw a ton to keep up with Buffalo.

I was leaning that way but it pains me either way. Have a feeling I’m not going to have a good time.

Looking like I'll need to replace Ekeler.

Khalil Herbert, Tyler Allegier, or Zach Moss

you know what i still dig Khalil, i know people are jumping off him because the rookie saw a lot of playing time but that game was weird and they got blown out basically. Herbert still had the most touches on the team. He's the RB1 in chicago and I'd be awfully tempted to go with him. I love when a RB has open lanes because the team is so worried about the QB's legs as well.

Allegier was awesome though, and that team is running TF out of the ball. He also saw 3 targets in the air so he's very involved. You have to assume Bijan eats up most of the playing time as we go forward but not yet. Hmm.

final answer Khalil Herbert but not by much.

I agree on all points. Definitely not Moss until we see what that backfield is going to look like. I have a feeling Richardson is going to emerge as the actual RB1 there. Between Herbert and Allgier, I like Herbert, but they are very close.

I have Kelce & Andrews. I'm looking to trade Andrews. It's a 12-man half PPR 3WR 2RB 2 Flex league. I was offered Garrett Wilson. I feel like post-injury Wilson isn't worth as much as Andrews because Zach Wilson is his QB + I think they'll run a lot more. Am I overvaluing Andrews here?

In my mind, something like Burrow + Garrett for Andrews + Geno or Danny Dimes + someone would be reasonable. I'm thinking of someone like Marquise Brown or Zay Jones.

I'd rather have Andrews right now. GW is averaging 4/48/0 with Zach and it took them 10 games together to connect on a TD that required a highlight catch.

With Aaron Jones likely out today I'm looking to replace him. Full PPR and I'm going against Kirk and Hockenson who tore it up on Thursday so I likely need the highest ceiling of 1 of the below for my flex:

George Pickens vs. CLE (Monday)
Romeo Doubs @ Atl
Hollywood Brown vs. Giants
Brian Robinson @ Denver
Raheem Mostert @ Patriots

Leaning Pickens as I feel he has the highest ceiling, but with Jones and Watson out maybe Doubs should be the play?
