Was my most hyped game but the tracks confirmed have been a bit disappointing.
One of the new fictional tracks is an oval. Theres a Japanese inspired one which sounds cool.

I was hoping we'd see some more new ones.

Also no Mount Panorama?

At least Forza games get lots of DLC.

This US lad made a pretty good video of his impressions.

Takeaways:
Force Feedback is acceptable but needs some work (Forza brahs know it takes a lot of ****ing around to get right though)
CaRPG chit sucks (always does)
Physics are greatly improved
Visuals are great but recycled car models not so good
Audio is phenomenal
AI is very good but still needs work

Despite being built from the ground up, SuperGT said it feels the same as Forza 7, where the fastest way around the track is to accelerate mid corner which rotates the car, no matter which wheel drive it is. Says it's borderline sim but not as sim as GT7. It has potential but from the gameplay vids it doesn't look much different to 7 at all.

Mount Panorama is GOAT status but GT7 has no Mugello lol and no Silverstone. Tracks get added every few months with free updates though so hopefully one day

Xbox has thrown a lot of advertising around the 12 hour and Supercars at that track. They sent a team out to Bathurst to scan it.
It's obviously going to be in the game eventually, but I'm surprised not on release. If it were to be a DLC based around Australian cars included tracks like SMSP and Phillip Island though, I would happily forgive them.

Also Silverstone is pretty boring and Mugello is in nearly every game.
In video games I've probably clocked more laps on Mugello than any other track in the world. It's great but I really wouldn't mind if it were missing.

Already preordered and looking forward to it, but I'm expecting to be disappointed tbh.

Looks like they just copy/pasted some of the old car models (not even all of them) and didnt add much new. Also how hard can it be to just add all proper GP tracks instead of these fantasy tracks. Brb 1000 year development cycle but no budget for good tracks.

I really couldn't justify the premium thing. Compared to previous Forza games it's pretty poor.
Seems to only include cars, no tracks or DLC. Not gonna spend $60 on some random cars before the game is even out.

We still have Horizons upgrade coming and WRC 23 too.

They released both expansions for Forza horizon 5. I don’t think there will be anything major for it, there will be Forza horizon 6 either next year or 2 years from now (if they move to a 4 year dev cycle)

Edit: Also it sucks that they were too lazy to add a split screen mode. This is the great future all these technological advancements have given us? These suckers are cutting corners everywhere.

There was a time where i would be excited for this but ever since forza horizon i find most track games boring infact i still have not played the new gran tourismo when the old one used to be the most played game on my playstation one

Will have to wait and see, there is literally only 2 cars between the car pass and race day pack that I can find info on.
The NSX GT3 car and the Astra (I think its a BTCC car?)
Would love to see the whole list, but sometimes the surprises are nice.

I'm pretty sure split screen will come, it's just been cut from the release. Maybe the Series S limitation.
Pretty poor from a Forza game.
