Nice man, good work. You’re currently living the dream, on the path to victory.

You’re in control, clean, young, healthy, employed, and you don’t hate what you do for a living.

I am currently preparing to start microdosing some portobello mushrooms. Just have to find the right day to start. I’m nervous

I’ve heard that it works for some people to help with depression and or substance misuse.

Thanks man, married with kids too, really am living the dream, not sure what I did to deserve this.

I’d love to share my full testimony one day;

Believe it or not shrooms are in that story somewhere, and after my first trip on shrooms I got a glimpse into eternity and the things in life that really matter.

I’ve been doing this frickin stationary bike and it’s so simple, gives your quads a great pump, no impact, gets heart rate up, and fun!! Notice huge benefits to my mood most of all. Makes me sweat like a pig and I actually have more energy afterwards. Helps my exercise tolerance and wind big time. Getting better and better at it, and it carries over to running and other cardio.
Yeah, cardio is some good ****. I really wish my bike chain didn't break, I miss biking

That's great to hear! It's nice to see how better life becomes slowly, but surely over time with recovery.

just passed the two year mark a few weeks ago. Ironically I was sitting in an airport waiting out a layover which was one of my favorite times to drink.
down between 15-20 pounds since I quit, although most of that loss was in the first few months. I don't think about it a ton anymore, just once in awhile I'll think it would be fun to have sit down at the bar and have a drink, but it's fleeting. Sometimes at the airports I do sit down at one and have an N/A beer, and that scratches the social itch part of it.

Congrats on the 60 days and awesome work on the weight loss! I think it would definitely be worth going to a meeting and getting a coin/chip. I think it's a great idea to celebrate and acknowledge significant milestones like 60 days.

Damn, congratulations on two years! That's super awesome. I am going to be 18 months sober on the 30th and definitely looking forward to hitting the two year mark. Are there any suggestions or advice that you can give that has helped you during your two years of sobriety?

after a year, it felt like cruise control at that point. 18 months is awesome, you'll crush 2yrs and beyond

For me I needed to immediately find a replacement for an alcoholic drink in my hand. I started by drinking way too much coffee. once my gut couldn't take it anymore, I ended up drinking a crap ton of seltzer water, usually just the lemon or lime flavor. drop a few ice cubes in a rocks glass wtih that, and boom, feels like I'm sipping a real drink.

Next thing is a hobby. Dump your energy into doing that, and if it's something that takes some skill, you'll find you're way better at it sober.

And try to find sober people to hang with. When I first quit, I still went to the bars after work and just drank N/A beers. In hindsight, probably was tempting fate, but I've got hella strong willpower so I made it through, but I wouldn't recommend that route to everyone.

Sickening gains. I'm full jealous. It's like you just woke up one day and said "I'm going to be super strong at everything."

I did like 6 months of bodyweight stuff at a jungle gym before going to the gym. Squat is still ridiculously pathetic, it’s actually frustrating.

I hit 275 a couple weeks ago, not too bad. 225x8 yesterday. Bench press takes a lot of practice.

Pretty happy with upper body gainz tho

Bros cardio is hard. Always glad when it’s over. Stationary bike gets that HR up.

A dude I work with just went on a 100 mile bike ride. It took him five and a half hours, and his average HR was 160. Unreal. Makes me feel like a slob compared to him. He’s been riding for 15 years though so dem gainz is forreal.

Hung out with an old friend from elementary school. Hadn't hung out with him in 18 years. Damn bros.

It was his mom's bday so we talked and eventually asked if I was OK with him drinking. I was like "no problem".

He drank some Flor de Cana and it smelled fuarking amazing. But I saw a 3 day hangover ahead of me and missing my next workout, and a period of regret. So I enjoyed the smell but parted ways soon thereafter.

Good man, bro. That’s a hell of a test to pass. That’s like a gold standard of willpower.

You’re coming up on a year man.

That 315 overhead jerk won’t happen if you miss workouts becuase you’re hungover!

Actually what PR’s are you chasing right now anyway?

Wait where do you get those? Can I get them on Amazon?

I like fruit. Raspberries, blueberries, mango, blackberries, cherries, citrus, etc. Can eat 2 lbs of fruit like it’s nothing.
