How's everyone so weak at commercial gyms?
Barely see anyone benching 3 plates for even one rep. I know standards are not very high in most commercial gyms but it's still quite pathetic if you think about it.
I always lol when I see dudes who weigh 220 lb+ in bodyweight and struggle to rep 2 plates on bench.

Those ass training girls are strong.

At my LA Fitness I rarely see it.
Only times I do is when there is a bodybuilder or powerlifter... which most of the elite ones go to specialized gyms anyways.

few bloatlords at my gym that rep 3 plates, other few big guys ive seen inclining 225 for high reps
have never seen anyone deadlift more than me (545lbs). Although there was some 40-50 year old dude who was hitting 495 earlier this year, dude was clearly on tren at the time

one of the gyms I go to doesn't even have a bench press

My gym has a functional fitness/calisthenics section. I only venture outside of that to the bench press area to get the 2.5lbs plate when needed. No idea what the guys in my gym are benching, but I can full front lever and advance tuck planche. I have been going hard at front lever because I can actually go full. Like for reals. It's shocking to me. Been working on it for a long time and it is now....a thing I can do, it's been realized. I should probably try harder at planche because I can only go a little beyond advance tuck. I have a bad habit of mostly working on things that I am good at.

I swear I push hard and the most I've ever benched in 13 years of lifting is 275lbs and I had to bloatmaxx to get there srs. Most I've ever squatted was 405 for 1RM. Deadlift was 420 while training with DrewDarden

You got to understand it is not about the lifts anymore, it's about the face.
Hence why you see a lot of zoomer *******s working their jaw by suking each other's cock.
Plus, you see more women and men focusing on getting big deadlifts while having a ****ty bench, strict press, squat and everything else.
I know a guy who deadlifts 4 plates+, but doesn't squat or bench for ****. He just tries to maximize his leg press weight by adding plates with nominal rom.
Yet he walks around like he is Kunta Kinta. Fuking *******

My shoulder hate pushups! Specially my right shoulder.
Deffo being careful and working my way up to heavier weights, I am not trying to fuk myself up.
There’s an inherent risk any time you attempt a near 1RM, of course

probably because they don't lift properly and/or routinely, it's just an on / off fad for them, especially more these days because you see these roided up liars claiming natty and they think they can look a certain way overnight - i get it if people have health / real life issues, but other than that there's no excuse to not lift, a lot of the guys I've known over the years who jumped on gear just ended up fizzling out after the 'memorial day weekend' years were over for them and they turned to fat dad bods with bad joints, also the average american is a hedonistic slob who derives his/her way of thinking from social media and the worst examples of humanity, success, fulfillment and meaning that mankind has to offer and every one always wants a short cut.

Ive stopped lifting heavy its not worth the joint damage. If anything i get far more work in doing lighter weight with higher reps/low rest periods. I have 2 hernia patches in my groin from heavy deads and i regretted that decision for years. i went from weighing 165lbs to 215 at my heaviest.
Im gaining more size and my cardio is far better on my current program than it ever was on 5/3/1 or similar. So at my current weight ive never done a 1RM for any lift.

Most people lift for fun, not some arbitrary numbers. Barring the genetically gifted, 3 plates takes a concentrated effort and some planning. You don't just linear progression your way into 3 plates.
If you think anything below 3 plates is weak, you're crazy.
