Good thread. I wish I had saw it earlier because I took a week off at the start of this month. If I had saw this I would've just went fully in.

In 4 October.

Ah what a shame, no worries fam.

Day 15. I've got beers in the fridge, they've been in there for a week, not for me though, they're for my GF. Don't even like them srs, it's white claws.

Nothing to report really but something occurred to me. When I drink alcohol (65-110 cals a shot, 80-150 cals a beer), I feel like I need to count Calories more often. Several drinks usually becomes 300-600 Calories. One 4loko is 660 Calories. One tall mike's harder is 550 Calories. But when you don't drink, you feel more able to just eat whatever as you see fit, as it's harder to exceed your caloric limits anyways.

You're right, srs.

My first cut I completely cut alcohol and shed a lot of pounds. Even when I went down to 2 vodka sodas maybe 3 times a week I was dropping pounds.

Booze is definitely bloatlord calories holy fuk.

Day 21 das it mane.

Could be placebo. Could be correlation != causation. Could be waking up on the right side of the bed.

But I'm feeling kind of high on life right now srs. Realized a lot of my routines and analytical optimisms have been mindlessly followed without breathing in the fresh air and smelling the roses. Feeling extra active, extra social. Wanna bring out The Visel on the world unsolicited. Wanna stop and appreciate what I've got, who I've got, and think optimistically. I'm a little leaner since Day 1 but not by as much as I'd expect.

I think at the very least that staying off the alcohol has reduced my anger potency and frequency, same for anxiety.

Not that I ever drink to get to sleep or often drink during the week even, but I have had horrible sleep this month.

 maybe I'll do GOBAD in October.

One week left. There's a chance I might continue sobriety for another week or 2 after that, but we'll see. I'm a sucker for the pumpkin beverages, eggnog, etc.

Nothing really changed since the 2nd week of it for me, except further leanmaxx progression, and occasional justification of eating unhealthier since I know I won't be having as many carby+empty Calories.

I'm expecting someone to make the classic Sober October thread sometime this week. I'll at least cheer people on in it.
