Actually a lot of alphas are just betas who happen to be genetically blessed lol.

It's not about not trying. Women that follow societal norms typically aren't interesting in the eyes of a sigma regardless of how physically attractive she may seem to others. It's not so much about being picky. It's more about not putting up with the BS society says we should put up with, such as girls taking two hours to get ready only to look mediocre, dealing with their vices and bad habits, being high maintenance, bitchy attitudes, etc.
