Based on the picture, they probably mistook her for a plastic toy.

Idc how nice a dog breed is. I'll never own an animal that I can't beat up if necessary

I've seen some really well trained GSDs that will heel on command, but I've also seen some with no discipline. Those are usually from oldcels or sloots that have them.

Real man biters (a dog that will bite and hold a person, not just nip) are rare and almost always there are red flags that something is wrong. My buddy has one that could easily hurt someone real bad if she ever gets loose, but he insists on not euthanizing her.
I used to like big dog breeds but these stories scare the chit outta me, like dam in her photos the dogs look so loving and kissing her and submissive what made the turn on her?

Ill just stick to a Labrador or some mini dog.

My local police department they had a show with their German Shepherd K9s at the Park on Fridays, and a lot of people were there and they were demonstrating how they use the dog to nab intruders the dog ran fast leaped and jumped at the guy running with the suit on and got him, when the Cop pulled the dog of and gave the command the dog tried to bit his hand I was thinking dam this is a dangerous dog if he is even trying to nib at his masters hand while trying to pull him off the guy.

then the cop who handles the K9 was holding him by the collar or close to it and the dog was barking and ready to attack but he was telling him to stop and the dog kept trying to turn his head around to bite his masters hand that was holding his collar or leash

These attack dogs are scary because they seem to go off command if some random person yells the command by accident they will attack. He was saying how he dog only attacks when he tells him too. so you can pretty much use these dogs as weapons especially a pit if you train them to attack on command.

I had a Rottie take me for a walk when I was around 17. It was strong enough to kill me and anyone who would have tried to help without a firearm
I prayed we didn't encounter another dog while it dragged me around the corner.
If you can't control the animal at all times then you don't need it.

Yeah very hard to find a good one though easier than Rotties. When I was thinking about adding a GSD to the family I did a lot of research. Best place to go was working dog forum. Had people on there who bred or knew of breeders still producing quality dogs for service work, police, search and rescue etc.

Seems to be if you want a good GSD you have to go the working line route and find a breeder who has a purpose behind what they produce.

I’ve heard of handlers getting bit fairly often. As I understand it these are just really amped up dogs and so anyone around during the moment might get bit, I think it’s still uncommon.

Protection and police dogs are pretty high strung.

No big dangerous dog is safe for bad owners and especially these stupid women.

But German Shepards are very intelligent, they aren't thicko brutes there is a reason why the police and military use them.

We used to have one called jake that was 100lbs he was massive and could easily break your arm or something with the bite force they have, but he was exceptionally well trained by my dad who was an old school alpha male tradie, and yes he did have to give the dog a hiding once, but never again.

He used to let the family rabbit climb on him and fall asleep

A properly trained GSD will NEVER turn on the owner, a Pitt or a Rott will if they don't see you as the absoloute dominant alpha.

Sadly GSD have a lot of hip issues and aren't very long lived.

The thing about any large, potentially dangerous dog breed is that most of the people getting them for protection are too weak to control them, you have to be an alpha, animals smell weakness, these dumb women should be banned from owning any dangerous dog breed, there's plenty of little happy things that will act like an alarm if someone breaks into your house, that's the best they should have.

I rock working line gsds exclusively. I know all about them and English bulldogs.

Handler aggression/reactivity could be due many things other than the dog but primarily due to the dog wasn't ever trained to be a pet. If anyone could simply pat a police gsd on the head it would be poorly trained. This is referred to gsds with an "edge" or very high prey drive...which is good thing for a cop dog.

Neighbours have recounted the horrific scenes they were confronted by when a young woman was savagely mauled by her two pet rottweilers.

Nikita Piil, 31, was savagely attacked by her pet dogs, Bronx and Harlem, at her Perth home on Pitta Corner in Success, at about 4.35pm on Saturday afternoon.

Her painful screams echoed through the street, alerting those nearby to the nightmare that was unfolding.

NeighbourBryn Spencer said heand another neighbour attempted to stop the attack butcouldn't access her property without endangering themselves.

He said Ms Piil's screams could be heard for about 10 minutes before her neighbours intervened.

'I was contemplating jumping the fence and getting in there to rescue her but obviously there were two rottweilers in there ... I would have been ripped apart,' he told the ABC.

'All I could really do was watch this girl get mauled apart while I was smacking the fence with a bat ... while (another neighbour) was hosing the dog.'

Speaking to 7News, Mr Spencer said he pleaded with police to shoot the dog.

'I said you need to get your gun out and shoot this dog, it's going to kill her,' he said.

While he wasn't able to stop the attack, he conceded that he did 'everything I possibly could'.

'The other Rottweiler was jumping up the fence at me,' he said.

'I kept screaming at it and smacking the fence.'

Officers attempted to taser the dogs, before they were forced to shoot, leaving one of the animals in a significant condition.

The dogs were later seized by the City of Cockburn, with the injured dog euthanised due to his injuries.

Ms Piil appeared to be an avid rottweiler lover, with photos of her pet dogs plastered on her ******** page.

One photo from 2019 showed Ms Piil cuddling a rottweiler, however it can't be confirmed whether it was the same dog involved in the attack.

While rottweilers aren't considered restricted breeds in Australia, they can be prone to aggression. Male dogs can also weigh up to 50-60kg.

Footage from 9News, also revealed a plaque on Ms Piil's front door which read: 'Beware of the rottweiler'.

Ms Piil remains at the Royal Perth Hospital in a serious condition and has suffered serious injuries to her arms and leg.

According to the West Australian, she requires surgery to save one of her arms.

The incident will continue to be investigated by the City of Cockburn.

Ahh it's difficult not to feel sorry fkr someone when this type of thing happens but at the same time why do people keep these animals in their house especially when they have little kids in the home when they know they are prone to turning on you at any time.

That's like sitting a grenade on the kitchen table with a timer and label (there is a possibility this could go off at any time.. unlikely buy has been known to happen)

Would you keep that grenade on your home?

Some want tk say it's just a different breed of dog. Well a tiger and lion are different breeds of cat woukd you keep one on your house?

Stupid behavior get rewarded with stupid prizes.
