I feel like the actress who plays the nun was literally born for the part.

I'd still do her though...

We were rewatching the Annabelle and Conjuring movies recently so they’re all fresh. The Nun 2 is a solid movie.

Spoiler!

Kinda fukked how in the original conjuring they tell you what happened to Maurice after they intervened. He went crazy, killed his wife with a gun and turned it on himself. Also mentions his backstory as his dad sexually assaulting him.

Love The Conjuring Universe but mainly because I love the couple Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson played.

Watched it all so far and will watch "Nun II" too when available on Prime even though they wouldn't be in it.

thought it sucked tbh. in fact both spin offs (annabell and the nun) were mediocre at best and so was the 3rd conjuring which was a huge let down as the conjuring 1 and 2 are some of my favourite horror movies.

To elaborate further on this

The nun 2 is definitely better than the first. I remember watching the first one I fkn hated it and thought it was chit. Rewatched it last night and it wasn’t too bad. Watched the nun 2 just then with number 1 fresh in mind and it’s definitely better. I read a couple of reviews and they said it was slow but it was anything apart from slow. If you watch this in the cinema don’t go for a piss break. You’ll miss loads.

It’s a good sequel as far as sequels go, couple of points I had an issue with but nothing major and nothing I can discuss without giving spoilers away.

Enjoy the movie fellow horror fans!

Majortendonitis that’s not the right nun brah

A 7 is actually a good rating, I’d give it a 7, I think there’s a few reasons it didn’t get a higher rating but it wasn’t a bad film by any stretch

Annabelle and Annabelle Creations were legit good boyo. Annabelle Comes Home was a let down for me.

Nun 1 was like a 5/10, but it built up the much better Nun 2.

Conjuring 1 is good, 2 is cool, and 3 is only good because of the Warrens chemistry.

These and Insidious have been really good decade long horror stories though. Patrick Wilson carries both franchises.

Got 15 minutes into A Haunting in Venice and was hooked, need to finish it up tomorrow; I love a good horror movie.

One thing that put me off from immediately seeing it was the fact it has an M rating in Australia, not an MA rating. All the other Conjuring movies have MA ratings.

I dunno, I just feel like a good horror movie should have at least an MA rating, like it couldn't be extreme enough with just an M (Equivalent of PG-13).
Back off, Warchild.

A24 are good, they’ll be competing with blumhouse and chit soon. Although the last ari aster movie was A24 and it was absolutely fkn CHIT. That film is made for other people in the movie industry or movie students, it’s not made for the average movie watcher that doesn’t work in the industry.

Fuk is M? MA obviously mature audiences so guessing over 18. But M???? Is that like PG13 for parental guidance and over 13?

American system:
G - General meaning anyone can go.
PG - Parental Guidance meaning they "may" have some themes which parents may not want their kids to see.
PG13 - Same as before but anyone under 13 should be "cautioned".
NC-17 - Basically an "R" but since you're almost an adult it's OK anyways and no one under 17. Hardly see these ratings and R would be used anyways.
R - Over 18. Anyone under 18 can go as long as they have an over 18 person or maybe 21 don't remember.
X - Don't need to explain this.

You Aussies are weird. M/MA. MMA? OK.

Our M is basically your PG-13. Our MA is basically your NC 17 but a few of our R movies are NC-17 in the US. R is as high as our movies go, so it encompasses both NC-17 and USA's R.

I just feel like a good horror movies should be at least our MA-15+. If it's fit for kids with merely a caution slapped on, I just don't see how it can really deliver. How you gonna compete with something like Hellraiser with a family-friendly rating?
Back off, Warchild.

You don’t need to watch the first one but it’ll help you get a better feel for the characters, I hadn’t watched the first one in years so I’m glad I rewatched the first one a couple days ago, I’d recommend it.

The first viewing of number 1 it was chit, but the second time it was good, give it a go
