I don’t feel like I care about the people in my life that care about me.

I know I feel like I should but I just don’t feel that same “care” inside as they feel for me.

My neighbor keeps wanting to walk dogs with me but I like to walk alone so I can listen to my audiobook. Sometimes I feel like he runs out with his dog after seeing me step out my door. We've had some good walks together but dammit I like my peaceful alone time, too. Besides he has a G. Shepherd and my lil Cavaliers cannot keep up. I don't want to hurt his feelings because he's a nice guy who I think gets ignored by his wife.

my problem is I want to increase my savings, which is decent now but I've already budget maxxed and don't really have the energy/time to work more. I'm getting a CPAP and hoping fixing mod sleep apnea will help with energy wise but my insurance is slow rolling it

That's a tough one, hate to miss on my first effort but maybe talk to a counselor about it. Maybe you don't like the pressure they put on you, or you just don't have that much in common with them, their interests don't interest you, etc. That's not always a bad thing. On a serious note, if you're single and trying to find someone, make yourself as attractive as you can (as a person, not physically) and just put yourself out there.Don't feel guilty at all. Could you try putting some of your energy into earning more? What industry/career are you in, what if you considered seeking a raise or better yet, another job that earned more? Sounds like you're already doing what you can for saving.

Another thing is investing. Simply putting money into your checking account isn't good, you should invest it, think S&P500, something simple, and utilize tax advantaged accounts like a 401k or a Roth IRA.

How about those options?

Fake a phone call while you are walking before he arrives, and act like you are talking to your sister about something really private or intimate, then act like you are embarassed and be like "im sorry i dont want you to listen to this haha".


Repeat the same stuff 10x if necessary until he gets the idea.

The girl I'm dating has ferocious breathe sometimes. It's like an instant turnoff. I have to tell her (uncomfortably) and she will get embarrassed then defensive, but ultimately brush her teeth to address the smell. She grew up in a broken home, with an abusive mother who neglected her so it's not really her fault. I took her to the dentist, and she hadn't been to one in 7 years. Miraculously she didn't have cavities. I literally taught her how to use floss.

She's a nice girl. A good girl. But just had a rough upbringing. Regardless, the dental hygiene issue is getting in the way of my attraction towards her. Destroying intimate moments and ruining my sex drive, in a way.
