False. I was told 13 trillion jobs made, economy the best in history, and if it's any other direction than up it's still Trumps fault for spending money or something.

Wait until companies have to refinance their corporate debt from their cozy 3% rates where they’re able to make gainz in the market at 5+% to higher rates and the free money dries up overnight.

Definitely won’t help with layoffs

Been saying this since May: it will be a good summer for the markets, but after summer is over it's going to get rough. Student loan payments are finally due again, the Fed isn't dropping rates until some time next year. All GDP growth is increased government spending with a tiny bit from lots of travel, after people were traveling more to make up for not traveling during the pandemic.

There's nothing positive economically for awhile. Gotta go through some bad times before good times start again. I'm positive for the US economy, but not for the next year.

Might be a good time for some puts. Das it mane.

I'm planning on selling my stocks around early-mid 2024, to then use as down payment money for a house. Hopefully the market has an upward swing by then, otherwise might have to delay this idea to 2025.

Up 13% YTD. When does it go into negative territory?

Hello newbie. The Dow and S&P are slightly lower than they were two years ago. If you got in only in the last year or have been holding in ETFs for a decade things are bright still. Markets peaked two years ago after having grown for 12 yrs prior. A 10-15% drop from present through next year is likely. I'd say 2025 looks good though. One can hold and disregard the market or be active with shorts for the next little while. All up to one's tolerance and faith in the long-term.

the presidential election is 13 months from now. regardless of what happens in the next couple months, expect the democrats to rig the market back to all time highs by this time next year. any dips now is just cheap shares on sale

IF republicans get elected, JPOW is getting canned. So he'll do everything he can to pump it by Nov.

more worried they know trump will win so the powers that be are timing the implosion for when he gets back in. what better way to kill off much of the loyal trump base for good?

If you believe the discounted cash flow model, the fair market value for SPY is about $330.

If you think of it in terms of repayment period, buying SPY as a 26x multiple means you expect to wait 26 years for SPY's profits to double your money. 30 year T-Bills guarantee that they will double your money in 22 years, so stocks should be trading at a discount relative to that.

There's a couple different ways to dice it, but stocks are 20% to 30% overvalued today. That percentage is basically measuring the price of pivot hopium, or the level of fear about hyperinflation. Depends how you want to look at it.

I am pretty much out of the market and am sitting on a mix of money market funds and 30 year Treasurys. A couple semi stocks too, that I still believe in.
