At 39, am I missing out on not drinking/going to bars?

But rather focusing on my health and going to the gym instead?

I've adopted a small world that has some side hustle potential outside of my full time job.

I guess I'm just curious if I'm cockblocking myself by not going to bars or if taking care of myself at 39 is going to have more long term benefits?

And the only FOMO thing I'm missing rn is hooking up with younger women.

Bro bars are the chittiest, lowest vibrational places you can go. Especially at 39, losers drinking in bars are the sloppiest alcoholic schlubs around. 3 years no alcohol crew, anytime I see fools my age at bars I’m legit disgusted.

Going to bars solo BLOWS. And they're not a good place to get laid any more either. That game has moved online, especially for the younger women you're targeting.

The answer is no. And I feel this way at age 28. 39 you should just go to bars for NFL/UFC/Other-Sports, if a young girl happens, cool. If not, no sweat. Less hassle anyways.

you can still go to bars and whatnot. you dont have to drink.

i do and just get these bomb a** italian fries at my favorite pub abt 15mins away.

interestingly there's a huge Bills presence around there and they always have them on one of the tvs. makes for a good sunday/monday night. getting to the bar, being there with a bunch of other Bills fans & have 2-3 orders of these fries.

Bars are a waste of money unless its some sort of special occasion and even then its still too pricey.

Drinking at home is great and affordable though.

The older you get the weirder being a Barcel becomes. Remember when you were like 18-23 and you’d be in the bar looking at the weird 40-60 year old guy that just never found a wife and he still goes to these bars just in the corner? Remember you always thought “he seems out of place and a bit weird, go home granddad” …..you’ll eventually be that guy

I'll give you an honest, and serious answer at 39 or even 29 going to the bars isn't really worth it anymore unless you have someone to go with.

Back in 2010 it was nice, but I'm 35 I live right by a bar that I can walk to, and get some beers then come back. If you're trying to pick up women good luck, because in this day and age women are there to take selfies, group pictures and then go home.

Thankfully, my bartender is my fwb lol took me almost 6 months to lock that up.

Imagine going to clubs these days? Just lmao break it down:

Cover: $20
Drinks: Rum and Coke that will be $10
Yelling and screaming trying to talk to a woman?: Priceless.

Shut up red. It's depressing when you miss out on things that you should have done earlier in life. You would know that because you're probably 45 and still doing those things that 21-year-olds do. You'll feel the hurt when you realize any amount of inheritance isn't going to put you back on par with your peers and you'll die alone poor like trash.

I do work a lot, but pretty socialable at the gym, and I do go to a few weddings as a guest often.

Plus I've got a side hustle of collecting / reselling so I do go to a lot of garage sales.

Don't look 39, but do work a lot currently which I'm okay with.

Mostly just a lot of gym and work at the moment, not a lot of room for other things currently
