No, they have to supplement their income by giving hand jobs in the parking lot.

They don't make sh!t. There's a lot of money to be made in that industry, but you have to do it independently and have online clients. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Those group classes are so cringe, lol. Blows my mind seeing all those boomers do lame exercises and not build a single lb of muscle ever

You can do okay without social media. There's apps and websites that you can use to get clients. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

Chain gym trainers make less than any tradie out there. Independent trainers can make decent money but you also have to hustle for your own clients, so marketing and referrals. It depends on what you can demand (so where you're located) and also how good you are at recruiting and retaining.

One of my businesses is rehab PT, and I've been doing it in my current city for twelve years, ten of those independent. I charge $80 an hour and I have a full schedule (which for me is about 20-25 hours a week), most of my businesses come from referrals and most of my clients have been working with me for more than 5 years.

Only ones probably making serious money are probably out of NY, Cali, FL. And like someone said the avg PT at a commercial gym is probably on hourly and not a salary and is making 45-55k a year

Most of them are doing it either as a college job, moonlighting side job, or bs side income to give them something to do with themselves while their rich spouse makes the real money. The only way I can see it being a legitimate career job on it's own is if you live in a huge city and get lucky landing a PT gig at some massive gym.
