I predicted an 8-4 season for Colorado so this loss is right. They are a below average team because their Oline and Dline sucks. Next year the expectation will be high. The media blew this team up and it was not fair to them.

I'll be surprised if they finish with a winning record still. Back to back loses to Oregon and inevitably USC next week will completely take the air out of this team. Especially since they're both likely to be massacres. They'll regress to playing like the team everyone expected before all this hype blew things out of proportion from there.

They almost lost to Colorado St. and that was with all this momentum feeling good about themselves.

That Colorado St. game along with the loss of Travis Hunter broke them. They won't admit it but it did and it's okay. They will be better next year. It's a feel-good story for now but like you said they'll start playing the way most predicted them to play.

I do think this has been a huge win for them this year even if they fall back to being the bad team they really are. The coverage alone will do amazing things for their recruiting efforts going forward.

So yeah I agree they will only rise in the coming years. This last month really helped speed that up imo.

Damn, looking like Bama is gonna pull it off now. I expected them to win going into the game but Ole Miss got my hopes up. Would’ve been nice seeing both clemson and Bama lose to go 2-2 on the year and officially initiate the changing of the guard.

I like Deion but was getting tired of how much they’ve ran with the story this year. Yeahs he’s done good but now they’ve crashed back down to reality. I still think they get to a bowl game, which is a huge turnaround from last year…but nothing close to what some have been expecting to see. They’ll get better for the next few seasons, but let’s be honest, as soon as his son graduates Deion will get scooped up by a powerhouse.

Didn't watch the game but was looking at the stats. Does Shedeur Sanders really have 10 rushing attempts for -34 yards?? How is that even possible? lmao

Not gonna lie my interests are peaked for Duke.

Everyone seems so focused on Clemson choking and not being the dominant team they were after that one. It’s true they’ve lost a step but have they lost that much of step? They looked good against FSU today and really should have won.

Meanwhile Duke is torching the teams they are supposed to torch following the upset of Clemson.

Starting to think maybe Duke is actually just good more so than Clemson isn’t good anymore.

Next week against Notre Dame will be interesting.

I'm estimating Colorado will go 5-7, maybe 6-6 if they manage to beat Stanford. Still a remarkable improvement from last year with a team cobbled together from the transfer portal and the coaches kid as QB. Oregon showed today that their defense is terrible though.

Is incoming freshmen in 2020 the cutoff for the extra year of Covid eligibility? Just noticing that Sam Hartman is in his 6th year playing on the field.

Probably a little bit of both. Anyone who didn’t watch the clemson/Duke game won’t know it, but it easily could’ve been a blowout the other direction. clemson kept trying to give Duke the game and the BlueDevils wouldn’t take it. Then finally after repeated goal line turnovers and other miscues Duke finally pulled away. Same with yesterday…that fumble turned the game around. And even with that happening, if the tigers had an even average fg kicker they beat a top five team.

This upcoming week will tell us whether clemson can right the ship, or if they’re gonna completely implode this season. They have lost a step for sure. Cade isn’t as good as I thought he would be, and Garret Riley has been trash at playcalling. When SC ended up with Loggains and clemson ended up with Riley I was really disappointed, but from what I’ve seen so far we made the better hire.

We started to see the cracks last year now that clemson is actually losing coordinators and doesn’t have a generational type player at QB. This season will tell us if they can repair the cracks or if clemson’s seat at the elite table is officially reserved for someone else now, at least for the the moment.

I really think the ACC is the most interesting conference to watch this year. Everyone wants to crown FSU as the new top dog with Clemson losing a beat but I don't see it as that simple. FSU looking shaky after that strong statement against LSU. I could see Duke, Miami, or even UNC in the running of taking the ACC. FSU might be the early favorite but it won't shock me if one of these others wins it in the end either.

Decent slate this week

LSU-Ole Miss
ND-Duke
UF-UK

You got a couple hail mary's in there with Miss St. and Auburn going against Bama and UGA as well. Both at least have the homefield advantage so maybe one the the big boys will be sleeping. Bama the more likely.
