Make it make sense....I grew up near a town with a meat packing plant. They're approaching a 3rd generation there because they've been coming since the early 90s, and some assimilation has occurred. It's always been predominantly young men crossing the border. They're either looking for jobs or wealth to rob. It was not uncommon for farmers to find cattle slaughtered out to pasture. Not much different than what they do at work, but it's an expensive loss for the farmer.

IDK how to feel about it. I saw a rather nice and small town turn into a crime ridden dump. They've started their own businesses and restaurants eventually, and sort of turned it around, but it still feels 3rd world poverty. Schools were completely overburdened for decades and underfunded. No tax base. Most had 2-3 families living in small homes, so schools weren't funded until about 30 years later when they start paying taxes. I met plenty of them through jobs. It's the typical 80/20 rule, where 80% are decent people, but that 20% ruins everything. Now that it's happening across the country, we'll just be like any other 3rd world country of the haves and have nots. Will we ever recover is the real question. That town really hasn't. It is nice to see they've started new and better lives and watching them grow up. But why can't we at least screen people and take the ones worth taking and contributing to society. That's not much to ask.

Yes it will happen, when enough Democrats have said enough. If/when black residents of Chicago start taking things into their own hands as they've threatened to do. When enough headlines of the bad 20% are not out of the news cycle in a matter of hours. It's at least 90% working age men. When there's an imbalance of men to women bad schit happens. It means many more millions of men who will never find a wife, most of whom wish they could. That's not a good thing for society as it accumulates. Young men permanently single are like adding gasoline to social structure.

Is it worth it so meat packing facilities and restaurants have lower costs of operation? Worth it if landscapers and home builders have slightly lower costs? No, the societal costs are much greater.
