Very excited for miscers to win this one. What will you do? Claim anonymously (if possible)? Annuity or lump sum? Where will you put the money?

Half a billion is a lot. Honestly that's too much money for most of the population. I feel like most folks would bore themselves to death after buying that mansion and supercars.

I'd go back to school and study archeology. Would love to become an Archeologist and travel the world discovering different fossils and hidden treasures.

I think I'd:

1) Put in my two weeks.

2) Gift my parents/brother $5m. After taxes would probably still be north of $3m.

3) Buy a house/condo paid off, likely one that's in a nice community and probably 4 or 5 bedrooms. Probably not more than $1m in a cheaper area. Maybe closer to $2m-3m if it's a high rise in a popular city.

4) Invest $200m in various index funds, especially S&P 500 and VTSAX.

5) Invest $50m in particular stocks I like.

6) Keep a 1-2m in checking.

7) Keep remainder in high yield savings account.

I will play cornhole with actual cornholes.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

I'd use it as collateral to take out a billion dollar loan from Mr. Shekelstein. Maybe more. Imagine who you could take down, the politicians you could buy, even fund a small paramilitary. I'll be very upset if I die with less than a billion dollars in debt to goldman sachs.

lol @ all you dolts just luxury rotmaxxing while western civilization burns down around you. Money is power. Imagine wasting it.

Because I care about the coworkers / management. At least the good ones who work hard to support their families while putting forth extra effort for my own sake at times.
