I think most men do marriage wrong. But if its done right there is certainly something to be said for being a patriarch of a family. Of building a lasting legacy. Of dying old age in a room filled with people that took care of you/love you. Etc. At the end of the day if you want to have kids/raise them in a stable environment to set them up for success. You're better off being married/in a stable successful house-hold.

I know seeing this type of life unfold is fairly rare. But I do know people who's lives have ended up that way.

My Dad has a fairly large family (8 brothers). Literally every single one of them have been married divorced at least once. Most are on either their second or third marriage. With that said they still ended up raising successful children and now have grandchildren. And I can clearly see if you have close ties with your kids/grand-kid's your life is 10X more fulfilled when you are older. Especially on those Sunday afternoon dinners/BBQ's at your house and on the holidays when everyone gathers.

With all of that said. I personally believe you should get your **** together and not get married until you are in your 30s.

If those guys aren't cheating or getting divorced then they aren't men.

I've never been in a sexless relationship in my life.

No fault divorce needs to go, it ruins the concept and commitment of marriage.

true. in those late late years the family adds a lot to your life from what i see. my neighbors are in their 80s and every sunday there's 5 cars in their driveway...kids, grands...and great grands outside playing running around. old man used to cut his grass until about a year ago but now his grandson and son in law do it. one daughter visits every other day.

my own family was the same way and those grandparents add a lot of stability to everyone's lives. feel bad for 70+ people that have no one. have one aunt that never married and lived with my grandparents but she's super close with her siblings and nieces/nephews...to the point we are basically her kids too.

Bingo.

I've literally never heard anyone complain that they didn't spend enough money on their wedding after the fact, whether still married or divorced. A lot of people easily blow $30k - $50k on weddings that amount to one day parties. What a great way to start a marriage, with money problems right out of the gate.

I disagree with her plenty, but disagreeing with someone doesn't give you a free pass to make things up.

I'm not saying not to be serious with a woman and hope for the best. What I am saying is, stop spreading the myth that you can guarantee success by "just finding a loyal woman". It's never that simple, bud.
you're obviously a poor judge of character. LOL.

I pretty much take everything posted here at face value. I just don't see much point in worrying whether someone is being truthful or not, when there isn't a way to verify anything. That said, I think her story of being married to a husband who manipulated and cheated on her is generally true.

I don't defend groping at all. People who actually think that Biden is groping children in public on camera during WH photo ops are a special kind of smooth brained.

i see married people as a bit more stable on average...like they've bought into the idea of a more stable world...certainly more stable than a single dude with a bang pool

so again....a piece of paper doesn't make you a better parent, or more stable or more anything. It's a joke nowadays and not in the males favor. Which is why more and more are waking up and not getting married. When courts fix the issue.....more will marry
