Anyone Cringe At Miscers That Talk Chit About Public Transportation

Nothing says “I’m an irrelevant bitch from a small town” more than someone hating on public transport. It’s always some dork from bumfukville hating on us alpha citycels

I sold my car when I moved to the city because I knew I wouldn’t need it. Lmao at thinking I wanna ride around in traffic when a train gets me there in half the time

Cities are the land of public transport. You’ll see your favourite celebrities on there all the time. Your public transport jokes only work in small towns, don’t try use those jokes for us citybrahs

Anyways I never took public transport really before recently

It’s not the end of the world


But then again it’s probably not as good because I don’t live in an actual city

Tho bus drivers have been nice

I’ve rode the el a bunch of times in Philly but that’s different


My hope is that I go to the bus stop Tuesday morning and get to make it to ambridge and get a Lyft


I know I could definitely get a Lyft in Pittsburgh but it’s further from the airport than ambridge is

Lyft said it was 34$ from ambridge

38 from Pittsburgh

But my experience is at least here is

Sometimes you can get them sometimes you can’t

But because close proximity to sewickley probably won’t have a problem like here


I was thinking maybe I’ll go leave Monday morning

And if I get there the same day

I’ll just sleep in those chairs before security checks for a day until my plane boards

Being wo a car totally sucks


So I can’t miss this plane ride

You see electric bicycles a lot in the city, that ain’t my vibe, I’d rather motorcycle max then atleast i can take a sloot with me on my back and ride 2 up, whilst still being able to weave through traffic and also use the motorway if I want to. A car is an absolute no though.

I miss taking the bus srs.

I don’t miss the homeless junkies outside the bus station, the bums asking for money, the ghetto scum talking chit to the bus driver and blasting music, the constant tension in the air or the occasional wet seats I assume were piss drenched.

But the actual process of taking the bus? I’d take it any day of the week over driving srs. I hate driving. I hate the commute. I miss living in the city. I swear if crime and homelessness didn’t exist I wouldn’t even think of moving to the suburbs. This lifestyle is hell.

Used to drive into the city 40 miles each way. Probably at least 95% of the cars had one occupant.

Traffic was incredible.


No I take the train and bus in. Cheaper, I can relax, less of a drain on the environment, can be faster as well.

Public transportation here isn't safe
If you use the light rail, 90% chance you're running into some homeless person having an episode
If you use the bus, 90% chance you're getting your stuff stolen

The only buses worthwhile are the ones that don't stop anywhere near George Floyd Square

1. I don't like to be beholden to the time and schedule of public transportation

2. I want to be able to come and go as I please. I never want to feel "stranded"

3. I don't want to share my mode of transportation with anyone else, especially drugged out bums, smelly people, crying babies and annoying yappers that want to start conversations for the hell of it

4. Even on the rare occasion I DO take public transit and you "get" to your destination, you're still not home there's usually an additonal city block or two you have to walk to FINALLY get to your doorstep. When I get in my car I want to drive it into my driveway/garage and walk the 20' to my door and be in the house.
