Is grocery store rotisserie chicken healthy??

It's just a whole chicken slow cooked in the oven with some spices. It's healthy right?

it is injected with flavor enhancers, but a lot of fats drip out too.
how much harm can there be from 1, $4.99 bird unless you are prepping for mr. Olympia

the pre-cooked rotisserie's are great pick up as an alternative to fast food. Think in relative terms and why you would buy a precooked rotisserie.

I usually cook a whole chicken myself though. I can make it tastier by stuffing it with fruit, including lemons and limes, seasoning it the way that I want to, basting it etc.

They take about 1.5-2.5 hours to cook depending on the size of the bird and the temperature you're cooking it at. Brine for 24 hrs., then completely dry, cover it with olive oil. Baste every 15 minutes, then put butter on it for the last 15 minutes.

If you eat the skin. Not so much. But it's a whole lot better than most fast food. Just get some brown rice, avocado, or vegetables and you're good.

As long as you flush the water, potassium pill, or by natural means then it should be good.

Costco rotisserie chicken crew. When I worked at a grocery store in high school, i would just buy a whole chicken and eat it on my lunch break. **** was great. Definitely worth it for the proteins

Salmon has lower heavy metal content and is one of the healthier foods that you can eat. Rich in protein, omegas, etc..

Agreed with posters about sodium and chemicals, but to counter the sodium just drink excess water srs. Macros are great and it's super cheap ($5 or less for a full chicken that serves you for a whole day on its own).

If you're in the mood to eat something yummy, not feel bad about macros, and want to spend very little, this is the best option. Way way way better than restaurant food for all intents and purposes.

They are over cooked and dry. Just buy a chicken, throw it in the oven with a Bluetooth meat thermometer.

Less harmful than fast food but it's the bottom of the barrel type chicken.

You know those videos you see of breeding chicken factories all shoved together into a crowded space mixed in with chit and dead rotting chickens?

That's where the ones they cook come from.
There is but one path....we kill them all.
