Did anyone else think it was stupid the Pokemon said their names?

In the anime? Who's **** idea was that?

Imagine if our world had dogs saying "Dog! Dog!" instead of normal barking. Birds wouldn't tweet they would just said "Bird! Bird!"

They could have just come up with some onomatopoeia specific to each one, it couldn't have been that difficult. But nah let's just have them say their names.

Yeah that's lame and dopey as hell, and I hope they realize how lame it was to do that in the anime.
