Calling out misc NON racists

Whether never considering yourself one, formerly one, etc..

What do you think contributed/contributes to your views on race?

Do you think that an event could happen in which you were racist?

For clarification, when I say racism, I mean hate/ dislike people of X race because they are X race.

Will actually answer seriously.

Using your definition of racism:

1. No one shoving anything down my throat, one way or another. Didn't grow up in a particularly diverse place, but it was definitely diverse enough to be exposed to many different ethnicities (suburb of Seattle, WA). Having friends growing up of every ethnicity (black, hispanic, asian, middle eastern, etc.) definitely helped as well.

2. Could anything happen where I get to the point to where I simply hate someone SOLELY due to their race? No, I don't think so. That's a pretty huge leap. If I ever found myself getting close to that somehow, I'd simply remind myself of all of the good relationships I've had with others from that particular race.

Now, again, I used your definition of racism. That's not to say we're all pretty much programed to be prejudice in one way or another. To NOT be prejudiced in one way or another is to not be human, IMO.

I don’t think I can come up with a scenario where I could hate a group of people because of the actions of someone who looks like them.

a lot of it is tribalism not racism. most everyone - blacks included - tends to prefer their own tribe. it's human nature.

2. meeting people of all races in the DC area, i used to call my friends Beneton because we all looked like that ancient poster.
You learn that we are mostly the same except for family cultural differences.
3. it would take more that 1 single event because we are different even if we all have the same 23 and me origins, lol.
4. only if all that i met behaved the same way towards me, but the chances of that is very low

Throwing in my 2c

Any biases my parents may have had were never passed onto me. When I was 5, my mom told me everyone was the same inside. It stuck. Growing up, I just had to many people that were important to me off different races, and anyone could be good or bad.

I think it would have to take a truly traumatic experience to change my point of view, but it would have had to have happened earlier in life. Too old now to attribute things to race.

Now I will say that I didn't trust Muslims after 9/11. Was 13 then, and it wasn't exactly an unpopular opinion at the time, but I do remember that. Of course Muslims come in all colors, but of course the mental image was people of Arab decent.

In after lollerball.

All jokes aside, I've read too much history, and lived in various parts of the country to realize that all races, religions and ethnicities have a chit to of bad apples. I can't blame other races for chit, because even before the words leave my mouth, I remember all the chit I've seen and read about that whites have done.

I seriously doubt an event could alter my viewpoint, but who nose (hehe, had to throw in a misc joke), that could change.

I've played soccer my whole life with kids from all over the world. From columbia, japan, south korea, brazil, the congo, cameroon, haiti, england, ireland, scotland, sweden, germany, croatia, bosnia, etc.

When you share a value system or have a commonality/common goal with people, race doesn't matter or exist. It does in the sense of culture and we'd all use to have like dinner nights and guys would make their favorite dish from their culture, and everyone brought a unique personality and style, but it was all for a common interest or goal.

Everyone talked chit and everyone joked about everyone and everything. The issue lies among value systems and culture. I would probably get along and prefer being friends with you OP and metrobrah for example than any white uber lib or super political ph***gy modern white guy, or even the uber "conservative" redneck types. It's an interesting take to see all whites or all blacks for example are the same or have some sort of bond of community. I have nothing in common culturally or had any sort of similar childhood to my croatian bros or polish buddies despite both being white.

I am however pro discrimination. It has a bad connotation because society has told us any form of it is par for the course of racism/sexism/insert any ism. If I see a ho that looks like a ho, I'm not going to date her. If I see a car of black dudes by me I instantly know they're up to no good because of my location and patterns of crime. If I see an odd cracked out white guy by me, I am staying far away because they've been partaking in a lot of crime by me. This isn't racism or any ism, but it is just basic discrimination of protection.

Do I feel more comfortable around all whites than all mexicans? Yes. Been in weird situations like that before. But anyone would probably feel more comfortable with their own race than not by a matter of visual instinct. However, my general path in life has been the most eclectic mix of races as friends and teammates so even that doesn't register much with me.

nah race means fuk all

if certain races seem to 'act up' I genuinely think it's down to historical mistreatment. but it's no excuse to ruin someone else's experience in life

i genuinely think we're all the same but different colours. like u get a polar bear, grizzly bear, black bear etc

some may be pre disposed with certain traits perhaps but they're all bears

OP's idea of racism is very typical of someone who consumes entirely too much jewish media.

The belief that there are people out there who actually, genuinely, hate a person of another race purely due to skin color/their race, is absurdly stupid, narcissistic, and rooted in delusion. The thought that can only come from American Blacks who has seen one too many jewish fantasy movies, which have completely distorted their views on not only history, but reality itself.

These people that OP believes in exist do exist, but in such a tiny small number that it puzzling and infuriating at the same time that they've chosen this small % to craft their whole worldview.

A completely sensationalized, romanticized, and fantasized world view. Why? Because it makes them/their race feel like they are the "good guys" or the "main characters" of this big bad evil world.

"see? blacks are always so persecuted. the world just hates us for no reason other than our black skin, dawg. they just hate how much soul we have. hate how much flavor we have, my g. see, it says so right here in Leviticus -- we wuz kangs and ****, my ****** this is supposed to happen, we wuz Chosen and chit. Jesus was Black, we the real Israelite, DAS RIGHT. see, we is the main race and chit, king. we the original human beings. we really be the real main race characters of this oppression epic/saga/fable/myth/historic event, kang. they be hating cuz we can dance and season our food and be boiling chicken breast in water, ack. Shalom, my brother"

OP's mind is completely jewbrained.

Part of it is because I'm Asian and White, part of it is because I'm a logical human being. Its a logical fallacy to judge someone hard core just due to their skin color. I judge people, but based on multiple factors, the way they dress, the way they act in public etc. I judge people more on what country they are from, I'd trust an America that looks Mexican way more than a Mexican who is white if I knew nothing else about them

I've met people of all races that I've liked and disliked. Race for me seem pretty irrelevant. Either I like you, or you're a fukking ass hole.

I think the biggest problem is deadbeat weak fathers, or fatherless homes, single mothers, feminists, and the idolizing of gang culture and a lack of morals regardless of race.
