Where is this this info that they were available then? What is Essential? You are saying the library I see there is only available for a month?

Legit questions, I don't pay attention to anything GamePass, and what you are saying makes no sense from what I see on their site.

It says "rechargeable and swappable battery" so I'm guessing they're sticking with the AA batteries.

Ergonomically superior controller with PS5 gimmicks.

Only positive thing that'll come out of it is that sonycels can no longer use "Haptic Feedback" as a reason why their chitty controller is better.

Still has haptic triggers though, also feels premium and unlike a cheap plastic toy.

The controller would have been the best engineered part of the whole sub.

The haptics on the PS5 controller are cool sometimes but the little speaker is an absolute joke. Everything out of it sounds like chit, it sounds like a dollar store Bluetooth speaker.

Listening to my gf play Harry potter with the ****in sounds coming out of the controller is actual torture

My elite 2 feels good but the joysticks are absolute dogchit. 2 months and I already have issues with them. Won't buy another one and I'm already about to buy a Battlebeaver to use instead.

I'd love to get my hands on the PS5 dual sense edge to try out but I don't use the PS5 controller as my personal preference generally

I'm a controllercel now so these things matter to me

Why do you prefer sealed batteries? I think it's nice to have a modular design where you can easily remove and change a battery, it used to be the standard on laptops back when they were easier to service. With the AA's all you need to do is buy some rechargable AA's and you're set. I'll take that over sealed batteries you need to disassemble to access.

It's funny how people are simping for the awful sealed off electronics design Apple popularized.

Playstation has the better 1st party exclusives and console, Xbox has the better subscription service with GamePass

Especially when you consider we also get access to all of Bethesda's titles, soon we'll have Activision Blizzard's as well bundled in

EA adds all their sports games eventually to GamePass as part of the deal, so no need to spend betabux every year for a game 10% better than the last, plus we get all their non-sports chit included as well.

A bunch of Sega titles and JRPGs get added if you're into those games like Persona 5 and the new Persona 3 remake coming out in 2024, Yakuza Ishin is coming next week as a sooner release for example.

The new Hollow Knight is coming to Game Pass on release and there's always new indie games which can be hit or miss, but there are some bangers to be discovered

I was actually able to follow a youtube video on how to open the controller up and fix stick drift and it worked so now I'm happy with my Xbox controller and anytime the drift gets bad again I know how to fix it

It's pretty cool when they go for secondary audio though ... I love listening to recorded / codec messages from in-game collectibles via the controller. Just add's a little extra layer of immersion into single player games ... I dont think anyone is realistically expecting atmos style audio coming off a chitty controller audio. When dev's utilize it well, it's really great.

Yea, it is tremendous for what it is. Like the triggers and haptics, just adds a bit of immersion when used right, stupid when forced.
