She cited a $10 million donation to President Joe Biden that Bankman-Fried believed would bring "influence and recognition."

He's right. Political donations to friendly corrupt entities typically have better ROI than any other form of investment.

I've seen $10,000 of well timed donations turn into $10M in gains.
