WTF caused the market rally on Friday? SPY went up 10$? Was it ADP data? I thought the ADP data came out higher then expected which would mean that the labor market is not cooling down and would mean fed will remain hawkish for longer.

So bond ETFs must be able to trade in a way that doesn’t correlate to the underlying bonds? Bond yields went up today but TLT also went up 2% today wtf.

MND (mortgage news daily) was showing like a 20-30bp decrease in mortgage rates today, pretty big swing

I read a lot of money managers are behind this year and need to play catch up. They may be forced to buy the dips no matter what into year end if the market holds up into November.

Divide the market into quarters

Big passive money that holds this market makes decision every 4 months. Most of it just forever hold. Like you will never wake up to headline Warren Buffett trimmed apple stock.....

On surface it may be frustrating but when you zoom out this market is just rotational piece. They don't give **** about wars nothing.

Aug to Sept has always been sell month

Than they setup year end rally so called santa rally.

Only 7 stocks have held sp up this year

There is no choice but keep it going because its the safest play to sit in apple/msft etc.

Once they got chance to buy they came in and did so.

That is headline / news driven because nobody has clue what is waiting when Israel begins full scale ground invasion.

So you grab hedges and risk off move.


How this plays out nobody has clue.


I am still long for year end rally been long since ES futures were 4250-4270 area.

If SP dips under 4200 watch out. (I will cut my longs and run)

As long we above than rally still has chance.

Why? Just curious. I feel like they could be goin down the chitter if they're run like one I went to last night. Not a single cashier. Self check outs were broke, brb 10 people in line with full carts. If one person stole one thing, they lost money over just having a cashier. I just like their dairy free ice cream or I wouldn't go. Their prices are higher, but I guess you follow suburban women and the money should flow too.

Which then had me thinking, most people don't even go in the stores anymore; aren't people doing pick up or delivery? So why pay the higher price. I could be wrong, just thinking out loud.

Smart. They are closing unprofitable stores with too much theft. Their order pickup operation is slick and their margins are probably the top for a big box retail store.

Wednesday the treasury gonna attempt to sell more 20 year bonds. We will see what they gotta pay to get takers.
