Republicans get a huge win: Louisiana Governor race

Jeff Landry wins and the Louisiana will get a GOP governor for the first time in 8 years.

The Kentucky Governor race will be even more interesting, that as of this century the party that wins the KY gubernatorial race ends up winning the White House the next year,

Incumbent Andy Beshear (D) will win and hold the Kentucky Governor position. He's pretty damn popular there, despite being a dem. The guy will be a future presidential candidate.

This. Louisiana democrats are among the most conservative in the country. And our Republicans are often too conservative. Likewise, in Massachusetts, their Republicans are little more than center left Democrats.

I don’t think Democrats ever stood a chance, though. Their current governor is literally the last of a dying breed (a dead breed, actually). I don’t see Louisiana electing another Dem anytime in near future.
