Aren't amber alerts in general widely known to be incredibly ineffective? Or am I mistaken about that? I've literally never heard a story about them solving a case. Seems like the only real purpose of those alerts is for politicians to virtue signal that they are "doing something" and to startle people when their phones randomly go off from them.
