Even if it was an Israeli rocket, why are they still acting like it was an attack on a hospital? Over a day later and I’ve only seen a few charred cars. Not a single person in the hospital was hit, and the casualties were probably less than 5% of the claimed 500.

I hate Hamas and what they did, but I also see the flaws in mentality over there. So do a lot of Jews who I’ve talked to around my area (big local population). And I know muslims who are disturbed by the attacks on Israeli civilians and openly say it was unislamic and horrific. I think part of what makes my perspective on this nuanced is that I’m surrounded by people of many faiths here in NJ, and getting input from a lot of perspectives.

If Hamas was a christian militia it would make no difference. This conflict would play out just the same, and Hamas would do what they did regardless of their religion. They didn't attack Israel because of religion they did it because they are being wiped out and removed from their land. So the "thats unislamic" cope arguments don't make any sense.

Well who knows seeing how so-called christians act in the west maybe Hamas would roll over and let Palestine get plowed by the jews if they were christian.

If these pictures are accurate, it doesn’t look like a strike that killed 500 people. I would not put it past them to stage this incident for pitty votes from the western public.
With that being said, it hardly changes the fact that Palestinians are being starved and forced out of their land for the last 70 years.
Jewish population was not big enough back in 1947 for them to be given 60% of land, which is why Arabs were and still angry. It was artificially created by the West. Now that split is even higher and Arabs hate Jews even more.

You don’t hate to like the Arabs and I definitely don’t but you can easily see why they are angry. So it’s either Jews give them more land to call it a day or they’ll attack any opportunity they get. And if one day US empire falls and there won’t be any support for Israel, eventually Arab countries will invade Israel. You literally have an artificial state created almost in the heart of Arab lands, this people will do their best to force Jews out.

One of my main contentions about this conflict. People find it easy to oversimplify nations, humans are lazy. Israel is complex, it’s politics are complex, and many Israelis aren’t that happy with a government that:
1: is hardline and expansionist
2: did not protect them when they needed it most
3: may have provoked the attacks

These are all talking points among the Jewish community. Like I said before, there is a lot of grey in this conflict. There are no teams among the thinking. Just people and their individual opinions.
