yeah I just do my thing and see where it strands and afterwards I look up all the alternative endings lol

The gigs from the expansion are phenomenal. I already loved the gigs from the base game, but the gigs from the expansion I think are even better. There's more choices and the moral dilemmas they'll put you through are very impactful. Also, you'll be able to see the results of your choices later on as you play and explore.

What's with the lack of crafting components? I have blueprints for so much chit but no components to make it with despite barely ever crafting anything. I disassemble most guns, junk and other stuff but there's always some component I have 12 of but need 15 of wtf

Left Hanako at embers for a year, so no spoilers pls.

Game is pretty awesome and would definitely recommend, might just be me but it's giving me Deus Ex vibes, which is always a plus.

Lvl 32, maxed street cred with Corpo V, just did the opening sequence of PL, was pretty cool and a nice change of pace.

Not sure where I am in the main story, did the first leg of Judy's, Panam's and Takemura's jobs, festival is maybe up next with Goro. Fuked up the retarded Voodoo Boys and then decided to leg it to Dogtown after So Mi gave me a call. Think I maybe need to rest more often if I want additional jobs to pop up from the chicks etc.

Been trying to mop up gigs/side quests starting from Watson but there's an absolute schitload of them and I still haven't touched most of the fixers besides Regina and Dakota. Cyberpsychos are just whatever, although it's a bit annoying that I have to bonk them in the head with a bat if I want to save them. Think I've managed to grab and incapacitate one, no bueno for the rest. Last 6 or so have been just cripple movement then bonk bonk until they keel over.

Running an int/tech focused build - I guess -, with body and reflexes pumped to 10 or so, I'm mostly hacking dudes with overheat/contagion but I switch it up with a katana or a pistol if I feel like it and also keep an SMG around. Didn't bother with snipers, tried shotguns in the beginning but they felt like schit and didn't care about blasting people up close and personal if I can just chop them up.

Gotta say that I find Johnny sometimes annoying. Now I like his short comments most of the time, but the dude is just a glorified retard waaaay too high on his own fumes and I really can't sympathize wih the whole "whooo, anarchy yeeeah" schtick. Glad I ignored most of his advice so far.

Oh yeah, stealth sucks, V moves like a fuking molass and I just can't be bothered to spend 15 minutes trying to sneak around when I can mop up a whole place in 2 minutes tops. But then again the game doesn't penalize you for blasting/hacking through everyone, so it's not really an issue.

At the moment I'm a bit short on T3 crafting components, forgot to upgrade my Fenrir ahead of time and the game now mostly drops T4-5 items, guess I gotta keep killing random gangers on the streets and pray for drops.

As I understand it ,the dlc is a pretty big mission that doesn't come up until you reach a certain level

DLC basically takes place like 70% way through the main story. There's a DLC specific ending that, if you go through with, basically ends the rest of the game then and there in an incredibly depressing way.

Yep. As much as I've played it, it never stops amazing me how incredible it looks with ultra settings and path tracing. CDPR did PCMR a solid with the optimization. Game runs absolutely incredible with DLSS and it's still the best looking game out currently.

Should I beat base game for OG ending first, or does it not matter narratively?

Been gettin into the dlc finally.

Got a pretty good shotgun/grenade build with the sandevistan ability and max dash abilities. Certain explosive weapons can proc the pyromancer ability in the grenade tree so that helps alot. Pretty much just slow time and dash around dropping nades and shotgunning. Nades charge fast af and so does the sandevistan ability.

Best shotgun is either the igla double barrel, or the bloody Maria iconic. Bloody Maria comes from some Reyes side quest.

Love how they changed grenades so they recharge now.

Tried to make a blunt mele build and died about 10 times before I realized that blunt weapons don't block bullets and only the katana does lol. Derp.

Also spent 100k on a legendary hammer for the mele build but didn't realize it makes you slow as fuk so it kinda sucks. I might try to redo it and go max armor for mele. Throwing bodies is pretty fun.

Update makes the game just generally way better. Everytime I play I just fizzle out of doing missions and into causing utter chaos everywhere for a while before logging off.

The DLC - following a certain line of events/choices - adds another option for ending the main game.

You CAN pick this option at the end of the DLC if you want to end your game then and there, but you aren't forced to do it and can just decide to roam the world and still pick whichever ending you want to later on. So no, it doesn't affect anything narratively, it's completely up to you.

I would recommend starting it when you receive a phone call from your contact after Pacifica. There will be an hour or so long opening sequence that you have to finish first - unlocking the Relic skill tree and Dogtown -, after which you can freeroam the whole world again at your own leisure.

You can still postpone starting the DLC after getting the phone call, however once you move to Dogtown and meet your contact you gotta finish the opening sequence or you'll lock yourself out of the rest.

Sniper ,AR or smg ,double barrel ,all upgraded to leg

All power ,no smart or tech or any of that bs

I put sniper 3rd slot ,shotty 2nd so I can swap when they close the gap

Everything else gets scrapped

Don't buy anything but cyberware

I noticed if you pick up a leg bp ,you have to pay attention,it gets put into blueprints as 1st level

Bouncing it up to hard today ,normal is pathetically easy

I cyber the strongest out of the group ,shut down any turrets

Couple nades ,after that its just work the angles and clean up

There's so much cover ,this game is all about working angles

The testera that shoots both shells at once just blows a mfer back if they get to close

Double jump to reload if need

Very hard after a certain point is the only way to go

The fights are more intense

Theres a vendor and he stands right next to the door, I bought some ammo, then the door shut when I exited the denor menu and I couldn't open it back up becaus it would just trigger the vendor lmao

Finally after like 5 min I somehow got the door open, I thought I was legit stuck

Finally started the DLC. Played up to where I can fast travel again. Did some side dungeon with a boss at the end. Fun and unexpected.

That robot fight was intense. Got me the first time.

I'm 50 hours in and have still no idea what the logic behind gigs popping up/not popping up on the map is. Thought that maybe they're only triggered when I'm reasonably nearby/in the given area but then again I have had gigs randomly showing up on the other side of the city.

You get given more gigs when you complete enough of them for a given area. NCPD side quests randomly generate and aren't really worth doing imo. I just did all the side quests and a handful of gigs before getting bored of them

Yeah I’m aware of that, but there were times when I ignored gigs while running story missions but when I wanted to pick them up the map markings weren’t there. Then they popped back up again. Well whatever, map is dumb anyway, why do I need like 6 filters that I can scroll through just to have another one where I can just tick boxes anyway.

Also fuk cars and thank God for Jackie’s bike, all the cars just slide around as if I were using slick tires on black ice.

You tried the iconic shotgun called Guts yet? It's an easy pickup just hiding in some bushes. Thing kicks like a bull on pre-workout with 20 projectiles.

Running Guts and Bloody Maria. Guts when I wanna have fun and BLAST mfers. Bloody Maria when I wanna play more seriously.

Never heard of it gunna try to find it later tho

I use the double barrel mostly now. There is some perc in the tree where you get a charged electric explosive shot after you reload your gun from empty, works on any gun. Double barrel is sick because basically every 1 of 2 shots is a giant electric explosion when you shoot since constant reloading.
