People who eat lots of red meat in general don't give a f*ck about their diet.

I am not talking about the Joe Rogan's of the world that understand the diet science behind eating meat but rather the fat guys that schedule every other saturday to smoke a 12 pound brisket or the average fast food goer that grabs a double cheeseburger for lunch. They have generally chit diets and eat a lot of other garbage food that increases the risk of diabetes and heart disease

Miraculously though, sick people seem to improve massively on both diets. It's almost as if the real issues are oils, sugar, and processed foods.

There's only so much you can do with observational data. But, if these authors did an experimental study,, miscers would complain about lack of ecological validity (without reading the study).

My initial suspicion is that it is a junk study also. I don't eat red meat myself but imagine most people wouldn't have much issue with it.

Kind of funny in a way too when looking into type 2 diabetes and how it is officially defined.

Did you interrogate your suspicion by reading the study?

I'm pretty sure this is the same study that was posted about a week ago. The original study was done by an arm of Harvard. If you look at this research facility, the donors are a bunch of liberal globalist extremists.

Harvard, once the pinnacle of research and education, has become a cesspool of extremism. Take everything coming out of that school with a grain of salt at this point

I clicked the link and sure enough, confirmed that it is a leftist research group.

Here is a nice breakdown of the ridiculous study, if anyone had any doubts to how much crap it was:

The more i read about bodybuilding and specificity, the more i realize that we all need detailed blood work ON OURSELVES.
Studies are cool but we really care about how it changes YOUR numbers specifically, not a bunch of nurses with different genetics.
You see this in how things with diff people elicit diff results.
There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Location and ethnicity should also considered. I'm 1/4 Aboriginal Canadian and I eat red meat every day. Natives traditionally ate a meat-based diet. Depending on the time of year Natives ate meat 70%-100% of the time.

Inuit(Eskimos) ate 100% meat in the winter. When they were first studied researchers found that Inuits had 0% diabetes and 0% heart disease. Nearly impossible to develop diabetes when you don't eat carbs and the fish they ate was high in healthy fats.

Today Diabetes runs 300% higher among Natives and Inuit because of the switch to a carb-based diet. Doctors and Dietitians are urging Natives to switch back to a meat-based diet.

FWIW I ate a T-bone steak for supper and will probably eat a half rack of ribs with rice for my pre-workout meal.

If they want me to give up my steak knife they will have to take it from my cold dead hands!!!If they want me to give up my steak knife they will have to take it from my cold dead hands!!!

If he's so smart, why is he so poor and a drug addict? Ya gotta luv a guy talking about people keeping their rooms clean while his room looks like a Gaza hospital after an explosion, son.

Research studies are lucrative, so researchers pump out lower quality studies to make more money. It's from these low quality studies that leftists cherry pick from, like gender studies etc.

The biggest donors for bad research tend to be leftists, because research facilities generally don't have enough incentive to do them. Before studies were so heavily funded, research was done based on demand; things that help society. Now studies are heavily funded to fit narratives.

It turned research upside, or backwards. This creates backwards studies. The left is backwards. Makes sense

Hard for me to be exctied about a Harvard study, as poorly as Ivy league schools have become. I have seen testimonial of type 2 diabetics being able to control their type 2 with diet changes. The two diets that seems to help are vegetarian/vegan diet and a low carb diet. If you have type 2 and can handle red meats a low carb diet seems to be the way to go. If red meat causes you problems then a vegan or vegetarian diet should be looked into.

I can remember reading about Dr. Walter Kepner and how he was able to successfully treat type 2 diabetics with a high carb, high sugar diet. It was called a rice diet. Kidney function, circulation, eye sight would improve on his rice diet. People would also see big weight loss. His findings were shocking to me.

How are they lucrative?

Grants fund projects (supplies, participant payments, grad students).

I dunno which research facilities you're referencing, but this work was done at a university.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Do you not know scientific journals predate the internet?

I was responding to Kraken's claim that academics conduct intentionally bad studies to get rich. Silliness.

Right, like how the unvaccinated were a threat to the vaccinated, and if you got the jab, you were 100% protected against the Rona?
