They're in a strange rut right now but I'm sure it won't last forever.
They seem to be trying to replicate the same games they were releasing on PS4, maybe they can't afford to take risks right now.

The semi-portable handheld thing is just bizarre. The $340 controller seems to be decent but I'm not sure how many people will buy it.

Saddest part is, they've got the rights to the franchises and the developers. Just give us Killzone, MediEvil, Motorstorm, God Of War and Twisted Metal back.
I imagine most of the customers don't want to play as teenage lesbians.

PS4 gen was the worst one for Xbox to loose, even Phil Spencer has said this. The generation of everyone building up their digital libraries.

Much like normies being locked into iPhone with their iCloud accounts, app store purchases etc, now the generation of normies also feel locked in to the PS ecosystem due to them spending in the PS4 generation for 8 years or so.

Obviously they will pick PS5 due to their digital libraries and feeling stuck in that ecosystem. The normies console choice is nothing to do with Sony exclusives!

Now that Xbox will recover cod marketing and has GamePass to make up for lack of digital libraries for new console adopters, it will be interesting what happens next generation.

Remember, the 360 was also the console of choice for normies and it had cod and Fifa marketing.
Funny thing is, I only see strong Playstation preference among the terminally online e-warrior types.

And when they pitch it against Nintendo, do they have anything to show in terms of software or are they pitching their imagination?

That's the point I'm making.. To pitch anything in the first place they needed a library of Sony software to back it up. Marketing comes AFTER software, not before.

this is what sells PS5 today more so than a conscious choice because of CURRENT software

I play ps5 for their current exclusives. I don’t want to play anything Xbox exclusive.

This may change with elder scrolls 6.


I’m also looking forward to ps5 pro, will buy one and move my ps5 into my office, and move my ps4 down to workout room to work as a dvd player/streaming

Maybe there’s more people like me then you guys think.

Yep. The tard is talking about PS1 and PS2 as if those games are still being played on PS5. The 360 came and nearly equalized the field. If Sony fukked up and MS did great after that gen it would have been over for Sony but the PS4 is what came in and mogged, leading to the success of the PS5.

The part that makes Sony dumb is how quick they were to abandon their winning PS4 formula and instead try to make more short term profits while eroding their brand for the long term. If there isn't a drastic change very soon, the PS6 will not have the same kind of momentum the PS5 did.
