Wait, are there actually young people who think that some thousands year old, many times edited, written by essentially savages book is relevant in this day and age?

Is that why people have killed, and continue to kill and harm, others in the name of religion at a rate significantly higher than for any reason other than war?

Well, his entire livelihood was encapsulated around conservatism politics and religion (since he was a pastor). He would lose everything. Not to mention he's in one of those country bumpkin small towns so he'd definitely lose all his friends, and they'd harass and ostracize him for the rest of his life. He'd be a social pariah. Then of course there's the shame of knowing that he's lied to people that he's cared for for decades about a secret life. Its too much. People have killed themselves for far less.

It’s pretty simple actually

The book contains this cool part where Jesus overrides all the rules they were trying to shuffle people through. Cuz he saw it wasn’t working out so hot for everyone.

And he was like “just love god” and since humans are made In gods image all we got to do is love each other and love our fellow man.

It’s very relevant, it would make you a better person and make you enjoy life more. Instead your a bitter negative little chit aren’t you?

And I’ve taken a good look in the mirror, I’ve also looked amongst all the extremely intelligent individuals and looked at their takes and perceptions. You don’t need to take the book literally, it was a medium for communicating a message. A lot of people get the message wrong.

Christianity does not teach about killing anyone.
Jesus never taught anyone to kill someone.
Leviticus IS the OT, it was specifically meant for ancient Israel, and Christians were given the final covenant.
We do not follow all the laws of those Temple days.


Why would you point to some bad apples and use that as justification for criticism of the whole? Oh, right, because you aren't interested in the truth, you made up your mind already and just want to find confirmation bias.
