The Civil Censorship Detachment (CCD) by SCAP (The Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers) banned a lot of topics from all forms of media.

The occupation ended in 1952 but I don't know when the media censorship truly ended. But personally, I believe the movies made in the 80s and after would be what you really want to watch.

I know over here it is said that Douglas McArthur was very loved and respected by the Japanese peoples as he lived there many years after the war.

You had mentioned you were curious about the history of the war over here. I am a bit of a world war 2 historian and you hear many different things here.

It is not always easy to wade through the bs and whats real.

But I know you will find this a very interesting piece this is an interview with a historian and former department of defense research Liberian who was born in Taiwan. He is half Caucasian half Asian. Mother is of Chinese/Japanese decent.

According to him and his research with the department of defense as as someone who destroyed classified files the Japanese won world War 2. I know that sounds very weird to hear but after you hear his argument and his evidence it will make you pause and think
.this is a part of history very few people know about and there is plenty of evidence to back it up
You will have to use common sense and ask yourself does this make sense or doesn't it
