I'm about burnt out.

Just here for the paycheck.......have been here 5 years as of October. I used to really like the job and was super gung-ho for 4 years or so......

People are leaving, company is growing and getting more and more contracts......company is not replacing those people and just spreading the work between a shorter staff. I've gotten decent raises every year, been promoted 3 times, work from home, make realllly good money for the area, but Im just over it and how the company is operating currently.

Struggle to find the motivation more often than not these days......I get all my chit done, Im just kind of not as involved and (for me at least) feel like I've checked out a bit. Im usually highly motivated and a self-started/go getter.....just haven't been for about 4-5 months now.

Stuck in a weird spot, because I make really good money and a "great salary" where I live would be about a 40k/year paycut and working from home really is a big plus.

I have two jobs, and I like them both. I teach kids during the day, and I teach college courses in the evening.

But like the above poster, I'm just about burned out on the day job. I'm looking into ways of transitioning into making the second job my full time job.

I was just about ready to quit but then COVID hit

BRB pick my own team of senior managers
BRB working remotely
BRB wages in my area of specialisation keep going up
BRB can say what I think without fear of being sacked


Don’t *need* the money but the pay is too good to pass up

current job it's 75/25 paycheck vs like the work.

i once had a job though where i legitimately liked it except the schedule.

Just here for the paycheck. I've come to realize that the time until I retire isn't measured in years, it's measured in dollars, and the dollars from this job significantly reduce the years.

I love engineering, but they've ruined it with all the bs - crazy schedules, piles of documentation, arbitrary requirements.

Paycheck. I'd leave in a heartbeat but my job pays $110k and I would make just over half starting over. I'm married with 2 kids and I provide a decent living for them. I'm not willing to make them go with less by ditching the 6 figure job.
