Officecel/cubeslaves, what's your dress code?

I recently started in a new role at a small local credit union (3 branches, ~75 employees) .

I work back-office with no customer interaction. Male staff is required to wear dress shirt tucked into slacks, dress shoes.

No ties however. Casual day is the same code with only difference being an "approved" credit union top.

Ngl, this dress code kind of sucks. Sucks being a 5 day, no wfh wageslave and having to tuck my shirt into slacks for ~$60k.

At my previous company you could wear jeans and any top short or long sleeve as long as it had a collar.

Sounds miserable.
I don't think I could stand putting a suit on for 5 day in office work for less than $150k

I had a previous job where the dress code was "clean". Wear anything you want as long as it was clean. We had one guy that always looked like he just rolled out of bed (and maybe he had). Wrinkled T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops.

Current job I'm usually wearing jeans and a polo, which is what most people are wearing. One guy regularly wears (unwrinkled) T-shirts, but he's pretty much the only one.

I feel like this should be the standard in ~90% of situations, barring some sort of big client/board meeting.

At 6'0" and 210 lbs fairly lean, I look good in anything. Probably better in a t shirt than a sloppy fatty looks in a suit.

Slacks and shirt tucked in with loafers isnt required for my work and shouldn't be mandatory (non client facing) . if I gotta be here 5 days per week, they could at least allow me to be comfortable.

I don't want to wear pajamas lol, but jeans and a clean polo , or chinos and a short sleeve button down untucked would be nice.

I'm in management (finance), so slacks/polo almost every day, unless I have a budget meeting/sitting on an interview panel or something that would require a suit.
