I can only speak on the places I've been (Netherlands, Czech, Greece, Italy)

1) Greece. If you like western history this is it. Everything everywhere else is copied and borrowed from them. There's something special about touching a stone which another man worked on 2500-3000 years ago and is still standing today. The pic below is from the Island of Naxos. Great place to relax and enjoy the Med beach vibe while still having mega cool ancient stuff to see.


2) Italy. Its like the polished version of Greece. Much more dense in "history" things to see and do. But its no secret they idolized Greeks and tried to copy and model everything after them. No pics needed you know what the colosseum looks like. Def makes a great trip with endless things to see.

3) Czech. Super cool, not as old. But VERY immersive experience. I felt like could imagine what is was like to walk around Mid-evil towns, and just be a person in those times. Feels more unique than the ever spammed "Greek/Italy" fanaticism we have as westerners. This was the view from our hotel right on the turn of the hill to the castle. highly recommend it, got lucky randomly choosing this one.


4) Netherlands. Not Ancient feels, but it is a nice place to visit. Good food, good partying, beautiful countryside.

Seriously never been to a Michelin Starred restaurant that I enjoyed more than a good piece of fried chicken, or a nice Ribeye with potatoes. I understand their place as a high level "food experience". But its exactly that, its not the tastiest meal you will ever have. And I don't eat for "Foodie Experiences" I eat to satify my fat ass self.

I'm not saying that michelin star is the only good food and you can't find better food elsewhere

but the statement "Michelin star, good food, pick one", as if they are mutually exclusive when Michelin star is literally one of the most sought after food awards, is beyond retarded.

Acting like michelin star, and good food are two mutually exclusive options is beyond retarded.

That's not to say michelin star is always the best, or you cant find better food elsewhere. But acting like michelin star food is simply bad (i.e 'michelin star, good food, pick one') is absolutely retarded.

Michelin star food is also not always expensive, there's a pub near me that serves michelin star bar food, such as thrice cooked chips, which are reasonably priced (and pretty amazing taste-wise)

It wouldn't be the preferred food/restaurant experience for 99% of people so it's not unfair to call it bad in that sense.
