Yeah, they've let him come back since the gawker fiasco went down. However, it still feels like stuff was never the same for the Hulkster ever since that happened.

With how huge of a deal Hogan was back in the 80's and even the 90's, not to mention staying relevant in-ring to an extent up until the mid-2000's, it's kind of ridiculous how little of a role he has in the business/WWE today.

They still wheel him out for WM pops after a many years of absence.

I’d say they use him enough for where he is at now. Every couple of WM for a pop.

Hogan is the GOAT. On Mt. Rushmore of wrestlers. Biggest draw of the 80's and 90s. When you've accomplished everything, what's left for him to do? He can live his retirement in peace. He doesn't HAVE to come back, but maybe he would if they wanted him to depending on what that was. Or if he wanted to be out there in some capacity, I'm sure he'd be travelling a lot which is probably uncomfortable given the amount of pain he's in. He doesn't have to "work in the back" for WWE or do podcasts or youtube or whatever you're expecting him to do. And just because you don't see him "out there" on social media doesn't mean he's canceled.

I do not recall anytime during previous eras where they constantly drug out old stars to make them part of major storylines or really do much of anything with them. Sometimes, they took roles as announcers, and if they were good like Gorilla Monsoon, they stuck around longer. Other times, if they could still take a few bumps, maybe a role as a manager.

In Hogan's case, big star - he also hung around in his 50s iirc. Not sure what he is supposed to do now other than get wheeled out for a decent pop once a year and then drug off to the back to hang out in catering with the current generation.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Guys, I'm not necessarily saying he needs to be brought back for big things. I just feel like it's nuts how much legends like him seem to get forgotten over time, and it hasn't even been that bad in the grand scheme of things. It's just wild seeing the most famous wrestling icon ever brought up so rarely. Wrestling wouldn't even be what it is today (and going back to the 1990's) if Hogan hadn't paved a lot of paths during his time.

Hogan was (and still is) hands down the biggest wrestling star of all time, but his marketability in his retirment has been abysmal. Ric Flair totally dominated him in that sense, I mean Flair is still doing insurance and ED pill ads haha

Yeah no idea why they haven't made Hogan a "manager" or some gimmick.

I always likes hulk hogan the wrestler but to hear his fellow wrestlers tell it he's always been a disloyal two faced liar who throws people under the bus and breaks up marriages and is a phoney.

Now if there is any truth to that I don't know but that's what many of them say. Ultimate warrior did a shoot on him that really out the guy in the ground and warrior seemed like a no nonsense straight shooter.

But there are always two sides to a story.

His time is over. Anyways. Wish him well
