Victimhood has become a social currency in the West.
And I hate everything about it. It’s called “unearned moral superiority.” People using their racial/ethnic identity as a means to feel better about themselves. It’s been drilled in their heads through cultural Marxism and the divide and conquer technique that’s been so effective on college campuses and throughout the left/liberal world. I see it as mental masturbation. You’re getting a dopamine release from the high you get for telling other people what they should think or do and now you have the (perceived) justification for doing it. It’s a brain pathogen that infects people who have an inferiority complex. They group together because there is strength in numbers.
Look at a guy like Michael Jordan. A black man who never made any fukking excuses about being black. He willed himself to superstar status because he didn’t wallow in self pity or making excuses as to why he couldn’t get ahead in life. He just ignored everything and made it happen because nobody cares about your dreams. You have to overcome it.
