FBI seizes NYC Mayor's cell phones and Ipad

Guess they don't like him speaking up about Biden's immigration policies.



F.B.I. agents seized Mayor Eric Adams’s electronic devices early this week in what appeared to be a dramatic escalation of a federal corruption investigation into whether his 2021 campaign conspired with the Turkish government and others to funnel money into its coffers, two people with knowledge of the matter said.

The agents approached the mayor on the street and asked his security detail to step away, one of the people said. They climbed into his S.U.V. with him and, pursuant to a court-authorized warrant, took his devices, the person said. The devices — at least two cellphones and an iPad — were returned to the mayor within a matter of days, the people said. Law enforcement investigators with a search warrant can make copies of the data on devices after they seize them.

It was not immediately clear whether the agents referred to the fund-raising investigation when they took the mayor’s devices.

The surprise seizure of Mr. Adams’s devices was an extraordinary development and appeared to be the first direct instance of the campaign contribution investigation touching the mayor. Mr. Adams, a retired police captain, said on Wednesday that he is so strident in urging his staff to “follow the law” that he can be almost “annoying.” He laughed at the notion that he had any potential criminal exposure.

Spokesmen for Mr. Adams and his campaign did not immediately comment.

That’s exactly what it is. Adams is a piece of chit but he’s more moderate than the party wants. They’re going to install a socialist once they make him resign so they can put the final nail in NYC’s coffin. Sad!

Seems like an odd fight to pick at this time, given Biden's reliance on NYC to bag his main rival, Trump. You'd think a unified front amongst Dems in NYC would be a priority.

It's more than likely going to get much worse than it is today given how much they've gotten away with so far. These people clearly have an agenda and don't want to let go of their power, they'll go as far as they can until America hits the breaking point. The people pulling the strings probably don't even live in the US so they don't care if their political lackeys get jailed or killed for pushing their agenda. There is probably some level of similarity regarding why Adams and Cuomo were both gone after, maybe they weren't willing to go the distance for the Establishment.

They initially raided his campaign fundraiser staffer on the day he was going down to DC to see Biden. He had to cancel his meeting and raced back to NYC when he heard of the raid last week.

If they're willing to go after the mayor of our largest city for speaking up is it any wonder so many people remain silent about the authoritarian things done by Biden's admin, or that his blatant bribery pay days from foreign countries barely make headlines? BRB Biden's brother gets paid by China, then writes a check to Joe Biden the exact same day for the exact same amount (over $200K). It should be one of the top stories for months but was in the news for all of a few hours. Cross the line too many times and this regime will fuk you up.
