I enjoy some older metal a friend turned me onto years ago.
Dio, iron maiden, ozzy, slayer , a handful of wasp songs etc etc but metal to me is like rap. I only enjoy a handful of groups/songs.
I can't get into all that howling in the microphone stuff

Not strictly metal, I realize, but did anyone else LOL hard when the allegations against Marilyn Manson happened a few years ago.

love a lot of metal bands. Not much of a fan of a lot of modern metal, mostly older stuff. Krisiun and Morbid Angel for death metal, a lot of thrash, too.
I listened to this at the gym earlier:

and I used to get my oil changed at this service station where one of the guys would notice my t-shirt (whatever band it was) and want to start talking about death metal. He was nuts about Necro****ist, too.
