What do you even do after getting a career?

Everyday feels like groundhogs day. I have no debt, I have a mortgage, my car is paid off. But I feel stagnant, all I do is sit at home, go to the gym, play video games, and play guitar

I’m not learning anything, I’m not working towards anything. Feels like I’m just going through the motions
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

If you have the time and energy there's probably lots of stuff you could do to not feel stagnant.

If you aren't learning anything or working towards anything, that's not a career, it's a job.

No I downloaded the MeetUp social networking app to see if there’s any local Japanese study clubs but it’s all online only

It would be easier if I had a friend or someone in person that actually speaks fluently versus me just watching countless hours of YouTube video and anime in Japanese

Several options IMO. I'll list the extremes, but all humans are different, and it's totally possible to be a hybrid or tribrid.

Careercel - Hopefully your career is your passion anyways, but even if not... this type of person devotes lots of free time towards their career. Certification studying, higher education, seminars, conventions, reading the latest news and updates all the time. Puts in overtime if applicable. Pretty much associates identity with their career, and intends to climb the ladder as far as possible, including at the expense of friends/family time.

Familycel - Escalate that GF to a wife, have kids, plan for their future, schedule vacations. Career still matters, especially with dependents, you'll probably want to do "above the minimum" at work, but you're not willing to compromise on your family time, and stagnance is tolerable.

Hobbycel/Funcel - Maybe you have a GF, or even a wife, but more fitting to say you're single and maybe pharking around. Indulge in your hobbies, get a little crazy with substance abuse, possibly party often. Your mind is occupied by the next fun activities, and your next vacation day. You do the bare minimum at work, or just above it, and it's more likely that your career isn't a passion, but is instead a means-to-an-end.

Most streaming sites let you choose dubbing/subtitles in lots of different languages. I don't know how many have Japanese available, but try watching English language movies/shows with Japanese subtitles or Japanese dubbing.
